Magazine Advertisments
As a magazine designer, clients and advertisers
would often approach us with no materials. On
multiple occasions, I would work directly with the
client to produce an advertisment suiting their
needs. Often, the clients were so pleased with
the results that they would request to use the ads
for other pulbications as well.
In these examples, I worked with Seminole Wind
Farms I produced this ad displaying their prize
stallion for Paso Fino Horse World Magazine.
Cognitive, a medical devices company, sought
to advertise their printer in Patient Safety &
Quality Healthcare, and Flynn Stone needed
an ad to congratulate the acheivements of John
Cullen while promoting their quarry’s stone and
services.

Elon Bio Conditioner
A series produced for Elon Salon in Marietta, GA.
The client was looking for a variety of laminated
pieces that would be placed around various areas
of the salon to inform the clients of an additional
service, the Biominoil Bio Conditioner, that could
be purchased.
The images were provided by the salon from
a recent photo shoot, but , but required some
touch-ups, clipping and some color corrections.
The piece were printed at 8”x10” on semigloss
28lb paper with lamination and are still in
circulation around the salon.
Direct Mail Promotionals
I have had worked on Direct Mail promotional
pieces for several clients and companies. These
include Promotional postcards for Elon Salon,
Subscription forms for Building Stone Magazine
and Patient Safety & Quality Healthcare, and
Save the Date cards.
Valentine’s Day Blonde
Pictured here, a direct mail piece produced for
Elon salon. The piece was created to promote the
a blonde special for the 2006 Spring holiday.
The postcard was produced at 8”x5” and printed
at the salon’s printer for direct shipping to the
salon’s customers.
Magazine Layout
As the lead designer for two publications as
well as numerous brochures, catalogs, benefits
packages, and paginated materials, I have
a string sence of page layout, ad placement,
balance, table/chart production and a variety of
otehr skills. I often work directly with the editors
and with advertisers to schedule materials and
deadlines.
For the past two years, I have been lead designer
of Building Stone Magazine, a publication of the
Building Stone Institute. The quarterly publication
is designed to inform the builidng community
who specialize in natural stone.

Magazine Layout (continued)
I have worked for two years as the lead
designer for the medical pulbication Patient
Safety & Quality Healthcare. I worked with the
publication’s editor in arranging this bi-monthly
magazine and helping reshape the new 2009
look. In most issue, and sometimes multiple times
per issue, I would need to work in re-creating
tables charts and figures to exact specifications.
Illustrations
With a strong traditional art background, a lot
of my clients hand employers have come to me
seeking custom illustrations for everything from
posters to magazines. From hand illustrations to
vector-based illustrations for any scale, I am able
to produce designs for any media and style.
Shown here is a series of illustrations for a feature
regarding networking for AKFCF Quarterly, a
cover piece for ORMS Today and the character,
BOB from the 2007 Benefits Plan from Hanson
Corporation where I acted as lead designer for
all illustrations.

Branding
I have worked with several companies and
organizations to help produce logos as well as
entire branding campaigns.
Here is a piece produced for the Mulberry Street
Church of Macon, GA. After designing the logo,
we continued in rebranding the church with
letterhead (seen here) along with websites, and
envelopes.
In addition are a series of logo concepts produced
for a client. They were looking for a logo for
an e-newsletter about employees called People
Watching and a monthly series called Building
With Bill with the company president.
