GENERAL INFORMATION UNIFORM SHOP • Open – Main Office at present but this will change so do visit our website for further details
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Upper Hutt Hato Hohepa HAIR • Will be clean, tidy and off the face (long hair for boys and girls needs to be clipped; tied or held back by a band) • Clips, ribbons, bands etc. must be of the school colours White/Black or Green • Style to be appropriate for primary school wear (fads and/or trends, e.g. mohawks; lettering; rats tails or similar are not permitted) • Colour enhancements should conform to natural tones. JEWELLERY • Is restricted to one plain gold or silver stud in each ear, a religious or cultural taonga in the form of a necklace and a watch. MAKE UP • Including nail polish and eye make up is not permitted SUN HATS • Regulation School Hat to be worn in Terms 1 & 4. JACKETS • Jackets are encouraged in wet / cold weather. LOST PROPERTY • Parents / students may check this at any time if belongings have been mislaid. It is the responsibility of the student to keep track of their belongings. Please ensure all uniform is named. EXTRA CLOTHING • Any additional undergarments should not be visible when uniform is worn e.g. singlets, t-­‐
shirts, polyprops, boxer shorts. CYCLE HELMETS • Approved cycle safety helmets to be worn by cyclists. All students are expected to wear their uniform in accordance with the regulations set down by the Board of Trustees as outlined within this brochure. Following the School Uniform Regulations / Policy is a condition of enrolment at this school. CULOTTES -­‐ Gordon Tartan – Optional for all girls N.E – Yr. 8 OR SKIRT -­‐ Gordon Tartan – Optional for all girls N.E – Yr. 8 BLOUSE -­‐ White short sleeved blouse (with school monogram) Students should wear the uniform with respect for themselves and pride in their school. JERSEY OR OR -­‐ Bottle green sweatshirt (with school monogram) SHORTS -­‐ Black (Cotton / Polyester) SHIRT -­‐ Short sleeved bottle green, black

Short-­‐term exemption can be given for loss of articles or for unforeseen circumstances – please communicate this to the School Deputy Principal to enable the exemption to be actioned. If there are problems in providing a uniform – please see the Principal. Parents / Caregivers will be notified if deviation from uniform regulation is persistent. All items of clothing must be clearly named.
