WELCOME TO CDL
Dear customers,
It is with great pleasure that we bring you our 2015 catalog. Again this year, our team
was very busy maintaining us as the leader of the maple sugaring industry. This year, we
aquired Atkinson Maple Supplies, the largest maple sugaring equipment dealer in Ontario.
We also launched our new monitoring division. One more step in automating operations
from the tree to the finished product. That means that CDL is now the only manufacturer
that offers a real one stop shop for anything a sugarmaker anywhere in North America
might need.
Our 2015 catalog has many exciting new products including the JET self-cleaning filter
press, the electrofusion process for mainline, the new MASTER line of evaporators (wood,
oil or pellet), submersible releasers, the 2015 20+ ROs higher performing than ever and
more. Each one of those innovations will bring added value to the industry and will
take maple sugaring to a new level. We are proud to bring you these new technologies
founded on many years of research and development. We hope you will enjoy reading our

The new line of 5/16"
MAXFLOW fittings was specifically designed and developed for maple
syrup producers who want to operate over 25 in-hg (high vacuum).
Even at vacuum levels higher than 25 in-hg these fittings will not leak! Some of the advantages are:

Productivity comparison (2013 season) : White MAXFLOW spouts performed
7% better than black MAXFLOW spouts.
CONCLUSION
In the studied sugarbush, white spouts gave a higher volume of sap compared
to black spouts.
This increase happened in the last part of the season, when the average temperature was higher. These results suggest that the increase in production is
linked to the color of the spouts and its thermal absorption capacities.

CONCLUSION
The CDL clear spout gave significally more sap than a standard black health spout of the same diameter in the two monitored systems. Also, the contamination
in the tap holes using clear spout was significally less at the end of the season.

All tanks are HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and made from virgin plastic (no recycled material used). They are approved for use with potable water
Most bands are galvanized dipped and required for warranty fullfillement.
Lid sizes are 8", or 16" depending on the tank and it's size. All lids thread on and are vented.
All tanks, except the PCO models, come with one female pipe thread fitting for easy draining. Fittings are as low as possible on a side. Pipe thread sizes
are based on the maximum gallons a tank holds. Less than 100 gallons = ¾" FNPT, more than 100 gallons = 2" FNPT. FNPT - female national pipe thread.
All tanks are UV stabilized and have an expected life span of over 15 years in direct sunlight, and over 25 years when used indoors.

This flue pan washer will clean your flue pan without manual brushing and scrubbing. All the washing solution is recycled so that cleaning is done with a small volume of water. The flue pan remains on
your evaporator during the cleaning process.
ANTI-NITER DEVICE
Already 6 years of use with positive results.
The Techno Calk system reduces niter buildup and eases the cleaning of metal surfaces
while maintaining syrup quality. The two electrodes (the first inside of the Techno Calk
cylinder and the other on the inside wall of the flue pan) use reverse current to ionize the
sap, which reduces the amount of niter coming out of solution and being deposited on the
pan surfaces.
