SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT
Superintendent Novak, in her report, updated the Board about the Alternate Education Review process.
Ms. Novak also shared information about concerns raised provincially regarding how schools and districts
have been issuing Evergreen Certificates and the resulting recent changes to the BC Ministry of
Education Student Credentials Order in the School Act. Also highlighted was the recent Chilliwack
Secondary School staff team trip to Cairo, Egypt where, through invitation, they worked with an
International School staff supporting professional development in the area of assessment. Feedback
received was extremely positive - transformational for staff and for presenters and there may be an
opportunity for school twinning in the future.

the AirWatch implementation of classroom iPad sets with much success.
Training material has just been posted on our Moodle page with more
training to come. The AirWatch MDM (Mobile Data Management) system
