Balancing Priorities: In Project
Management & Life!
Tuesday, February 25, 2014
7:30am—9:00am
Greece Chamber Board Room
How many balls can one person bounce in the air at one time at
work, at home, in the community? This session will help you
take a closer look at what those priorities are and the tools that
can help you to “Balance your Priorities.” This seminar will
require participation from everyone present, and will involve
identifying individual and institutional blocks that cause chaos in
your day-to-day activities. Paul Chatfield from Chatfield
Engineers, P.C. will present this fascinating 90-minute seminar.
Visit www.GreeceChamber.org for complete details or to
register.
MEET OUR MEMBERS!
G.R.A.P.E.
Greater Rochester Area
Partnership for the Elderly
(G.R.A.P.E.) is the largest network of
companies, agencies, facilities, and
individuals dedicated to the care and
advocacy of the elderly in upstate
New York.
The diverse membership that
makes up G.R.A.P.E. consists of area professionals, volunteers
and students as well as other community members. They join
together to connect and enrich senior resources through monthly
educational programs, networking and advocacy. The
membership stays current with issues that affect the senior
population through educational presentations at monthly
membership meetings. The organization also advocates for
seniors through their annual legislative town hall
meeting. Kathleen Krauss, Executive Director of G.R.A.P.E.,
stated “there is a high level of professionalism within the
organization and it is not unusual to see members collaborate on
the best solution for a particular client need. G.R.A.P.E.
members are truly committed to those they serve.”
There are many benefits to becoming a member of
G.R.A.P.E. Membership provides professional development
benefits through education, connecting with colleagues in social
settings, and skills development. It is a forum for sharing
professional ideas, networking and socializing. In the realm of
public and social policy G.R.A.P.E. members educate the public,
facilitate change and influence perceptions of persons in decision
making positions. As a G.R.A.P.E. member you will have the
opportunity to connect with health care professionals, attorneys,
program administrators, directors, business owners, and others
who serve seniors. Membership is a great way to develop
referral contacts and develop business relationships.
A wealth of information can be found in The GRAPEvine
Newsletter published monthly. It can be found at
www.grapelder.org. It includes a Calender of Events, G.R.A.P.E.
meeting schedules, volunteer opportunities, articles, advocacy
alerts, new programs, services, and much more. The ElderPages
Directory can be found at www.theelderpages.com. In it you
will find the most complete listing of organizations and
programs that serve the local area elderly population.
If you are interested in more information about
G.R.A.P.E. or becoming a member, call them at 585-256-4351 or
email them at [email protected]. Be sure to tell them that you
read about their organization in the Greece Chamber’s
SuccessLink Journal.–Terry Hogan, Director of Marketing &
