Against the sky you stand, Le Moyne
A beacon to us all,
And on the Heights our forces join,
We rally to your call.
From loyal hearts our challenge roars
That here we stand allied,
You’re ours, Le Moyne, and we are yours
While Heights and Hearts abide.
May your ideals be our command
Your praises ever sung;
So long as on the Heights you stand
Your name be on our tongue.
From loyal hearts our challenge roars
That here we stand allied,
You’re ours, Le Moyne, and we are yours
While Heights and Hearts abide.

His work has national implications, as he has helped make important recommendations to government officials on everything from school meals to federal food
service programs to drugs to treat childhood diseases. As more is learned about the
vital role nutrition plays in overall well-being, his professional accomplishments are
not just important, but timely. He also helped train future physicians as a Professor of
Pediatrics at Baylor College.
A 1997 Le Moyne graduate, Brian has sought to give to others as often and in as
many ways as possible; he has taught religion at the high school level and served
as a chaplain, residence director and admissions counselor to college students.
He has given freely of his time in order to be as well-versed in as many service and

In his work for the Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD), he helped to bring together local,
state and federal resources, as well as residents, to rejuvenate a 16-block area of the City of Syracuse. The ambitious project is a testament to
his desire to see a financially sound Syracuse in which residents may take pride.
Jim has stood out as a leader on the national as well as the local level, and as
someone who can be counted on even in the direst of situations. He was entrusted
to manage expenses for the HUD personnel who were deployed during hurricanes
Rita and Katrina. Again, he gave back to communities in need.
The contributions Jim has made outside of work are as impressive as his professional
ones. He has donated his time and talent to the Syracuse Opera, the United Way
of Broome County and the Community Hospital Foundation. He also played a key
role in the Syracuse St. Patrick’s Day parade as a past president.
Jim has served his alma mater, too, as a member of Le Moyne College’s Board of
Regents and Finance Committee.

of a Le Moyne education. Barbara’s joie de vivre and contagious spirit of optimism continue to draw the community
together in support of learning.
In her role as Assistant Vice President for Campus Activities and Multicultural
Programs, Barbara’s dedication and compassion have earned her a place in the
hearts of students and colleagues. Embodying the Jesuit tenet of “cura personalis,”
Barbara’s personal concern for the individual has helped build trusting relationships
with students who’ve come to depend on that support.
The quintessential collaborator, Barbara is fiercely devoted to improving the quality
of the College’s institutional structures and practices. Known for her tireless commitment toward making the Le Moyne community a diverse and welcoming place,
Barbara’s inclusive approach supports the College’s mission through action.
That action is reflected through her work across many College committees including the Diversity Committee, the ADA Committee, Advisement Committee and
Lecture Committee, as well as the University Neighbor Partnership Committee.
For the difference you have made and for your commitment to the Jesuit ideals of
education, Le Moyne is proud to present to you
