imposed on all future sporrans made in seal skin,
but excludes any existing stocks of seal skin.
Houstons have a great stock range of seal skins in
dress or semi dress sporrans. The new alternative is
bovine, pony or rabbit, which most kilt hire shops
are now using and are not very good.

It is advisable to be measured at least 6 months before the function. Late orders can
be accommodated within 2 days. Late Bookings made 3 weeks before function date
will have to give credit or switch card details or leave a security deposil of £150.00 per
kilt hire & show I.D., eg Drivers Licence, a utility bill like a gas or electricity bill.

A £5.00 deposit will be required on all bookings, Proof of identification will be
required (e.g. House Bill or Driving Licence) & give credit card or switch card details.

Accidental damage Insurance cover is recommended and can be arranged covering
accidental damage & spillage (e.g. full cleaning cost of outfit, plus if any buttons come
off or tassels come off the Sporran. It's £40 worth of cover for a premium of only £4,
we strongly recommend it.) Does not cover malicious damage or theft. Customers are
fully responsible for hires in their possession and transit.

17 You can drop off and collect hires from front of the shop, Traffic wardens may allow
10 to 15 minutes waiting time, this is ideal for party bookings. Many hire shops you
have to walk long distance with 6Kg. per hire packs and don’t have car parking facility
at door.
18 We recommend customers to try their hire as soon as they arrive home. Any fine
tuning available if required by our expert staff. (Please call shop - we are here to help)
19 In the interest of personal hygiene we have a large purpose built cleaning plant where
all Jackets, Kilts, Ruches, Shirts, Socks and shoes are thoroughly cleaned after hire.
Majority of all other hire establishments only press kilts on return of hires.
20 £5.00 deposit is required to book hires. We recommend 6 months prior to the
function date. Late bookings can be accomodated on the same day.

Easy way - From Glasgow or Erskine Bridge: Travelling on the M8 Exit At Junction 29 St. James roundabout.
Follow Brown tourist signs for Paisley Museum and White signs for Paisley University Take A726 Caledonia
Street to Paisley. Follow road past old football stadium until 2nd set of traffic lights where you can only turn left
or right, at old garage, turn right, go under railway bridge along Underwood Road to next mini roundabout at
gas works. Turn left heading to west end up Well Street under rail bridge. Continue up hill to traffic lights. Turn
left into Wellmeadow Street. About 300 yards further on just past Paisley University, you will see a Houston
Kiltmakers sign facing you on the gable end of a tenement building. Houston Kiltmakers is on the right hand
side opposite Museum. (Disabled cars can park in front or at the side of shop). By continuing on to traffic lights
turn right into Storie Street and you will find a large multi storey car park on the left hand side.
From Irvine, Ayr and Stranraer A737: Follow signs to Glasgow Airport and take St. James roundabout cut
off at Junction 29 and follow route to shop as above.
From East Kilbride and Ayr: A77 or A726: Head into Paisley. at traffic lights at Watermill Hotel turn left into
Gordon Street up to traffic lights at Canal junction, turn right into Causeyside Street up to lights at bottom of
New Street. Turn left at lights. Follow road round left to multi storey car park and park. (Houstons is just up
Storie Street, turn left at lights and we are on left hand side of High Street, opposite the museum.
From M8 Junction 27: Head into Paisley along Renfrew Road to lights past garage, at railway line, follow brown
tourist signs for museum/university, go under railway bridge veering left on duel carriage way to traffic lights,
turn right towards town hall and past Paisley Abbey on left hand side up hill to Paisley cross, turn left down hill
to lights at Russell Institute. Turn right up New Street and veer to left past Paisley University and past multi storey
car park to top of hill and turn left to museum, Houstons is opposite Paisley Museum on right hand side of road.

teflon coat Kilts to make them stain resistant. This service, exclusive to Houstons, again
must be requested before we make the Kilt. With Houstons Guarantee of Satisfaction if
you require after care we are only too pleased to assist our customers. We find
customers saying they are buying a Kilt for life and go for best quality cloth, usually
Heavy Weight and get the best super finish Kilt as this will last a life time. As you can
see customers today are buying Kilts for a wide variety of purposes which is great
to preserve the Scottish tradition. A Highlandwear Outfit never falls out of fashion
