INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this CLARKE Shelving Unit.
Before attempting to use the product, it is essential that you read this manual
thoroughly and carefully follow all instructions given. In doing so you will
ensure the safety of yourself and that of others around you, and you can also
look forward to the product giving you long and satisfactory service.
GUARANTEE
This product is guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of 12
months from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt which will be
required as proof of purchase.
This guarantee is invalid if the product is found to have been abused or
tampered with in any way, or not used for its intended purpose.
Faulty goods should be returned to their place of purchase, no product can
be returned to us without prior permission.
This guarantee does not effect your statutory rights.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES
1. Always maintain the equipment in good condition for the best/safest
performance.
2. Never exceed the maximum load for these units.
3. Never use these units if they are damaged.
4. Always load small, stable items on the top shelves, heavier and bulky items
should be stored on the lower shelves.
Additionally, please keep these instructions in a safe place for future
reference.
ASSEMBLY TIPS
1. Assemble the unit on a strong, level surface. Avoid assembly on your
carpet.
2. Use a cloth or softwood block to protect the surface finish of the product
when using a hammer. Hit the flat surface of each beam to prevent
damage to the beam.
3. Always ensure that the rivets sit at the bottom of the keyhole slot.
4. It is recommended that the assembly should be done by two persons.
5. The storage rack is not recommended for outdoor use.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
OPTION 1 - ASSEMBLED AS STORAGE RACKING
1. Create an end assembly by joining a short beam (C) into the two bottom
keyholes of an Angle Post (A). Install the beam in the upright position as
shown in Fig 1.
2. Drive the rivets to the bottom of
the keyhole by tapping the
beam near the joint with a
rubber mallet to lock the pieces
together.
3. Repeat this step with the
second Angle Post (A) to create
a complete end assembly.
4. Put to one side and create a
second end assembly.

5. Join the two end assemblies together by fitting two long beams (B) to the
two bottom keyholes of the end assemblies. Ensure all beams are
assembled in the upright position as shown in Fig 2.
NOTE: Take care not to strike so hard as to damage the beams.

6. Use a short beam (C) to join in the
top keyholes of the other two Angle
Posts to complete a top end
assembly as shown in Fig 3.
7. Repeat for the opposite side top
end assembly.

8. Before joining the top end
assembly to the bottom frame
assembly, insert Post Inserts (F)
into the Angle Posts (A) of the
bottom frame assembly as
shown in Fig 4.

9. Assemble the top end assembly onto the Post Insert (F) as shown in Fig 4.
10. Repeat last two steps for the opposite top end assembly.
11. Add a short beam (C) to mid-section at the joint into the bottom keyholes
of the top end assembly as shown in Fig 5.

12. Repeat the last
step to add an
additional short
beam (C) and two
long beams (B).
13. Add two further
long beams (B) to
the top two
keyholes of the
angle posts (A) as
shown in Fig 6,
14. Assemble the remaining long and short
beams (B&C) in any chosen location on the
angle post to create two additional shelves
as shown in Fig 7.
NOTE; The posts are adjustable in 1-1/2”
increments so that shelves can be
adjusted to the required height.

Now the shelf decks can be laid between the beams as shown in Fig 8.
16. Insert the post caps (E) on top of the Angle Posts (A) as shown.

OPTION 2 - ASSEMBLED AS A WORKBENCH
17. Create a bottom frame assembly by repeating steps 2 to 5.

18. Insert two short beams and two long beams (B & C) into the top keyholes
of the Angle Posts as in Fig 9.

19. Add two additional short beams and two long beams (B & C) to create a
shelf at the required level..

20. Now assemble the second (add-on) shelving unit by joining the first short
beam into the top of the angle posts. The second short beam should be
installed at the 7th and 8th keyholes from the bottom of the posts as
shown in Fig 10.
21. Repeat for the opposite end assembly.
22. Complete the second racking
module by adding two long
beams (B) at the top keyholes
and installing two final long
beams into the 7th and 8th
keyholes of the angle posts as
shown in Fig 11.

23. Lay the shelves (D) in between the beams as shown in Fig 12.
24. The two units can be used as free-standing shelves either individually or
together, standing either in-line or at right angles.
25. To secure the frames together as shown in Fig 13, align the middle angle
posts (A) together and align the indents on the Post Clips (G) with two
keyholes of the back middle angle posts. Use the Post Clip to tightly clamp
the posts together and repeat with the two front posts.
NOTE: A screwdriver can be used to prize off the clips if required.
26. Insert the post caps (E) to the top of the angle posts (A).

household waste. All tools, accessories and packaging no longer
required should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of
appropriately.
