Roman Invasion in Chester

Come along and experience how Romans lived with
our working Roman village in Grosvenor Park. Follow
the 100s of Romans marching from Chester Castle
to Chester Town Hall, watch the military displays
in Chester’s Amphitheatre, cheer and shout at the
Gladiatorial Roman Games in the amphitheatre or take
part in the ‘Original Roman Kids Army’.

From Thursday 17th June – Sunday 20th June Chester’s
very own Amphitheatre will come alive with song!
The Chester Mystery Plays will be performing a 30
minute ‘whistle stop tour’ of the 2008 play – Noah’s
Flood on the original Pageant Waggon.

The annual Midsummer Watch parade will be joined
by many special guests in 2010, namely, the World
Town Criers, Chester Mystery Plays performers and
50 Giants! Watch and follow the visual spectacle of the
parade as it winds its way through the city.
Evening with Melanie Marshall, an unforgettable
cabaret show, full of American jazz, Broadway
and contemporary songs.

Mail as a successor to Katie Melua, Dido and Eva Cassidy.

The Chester Summer Music Festival returns for its annual summer outing, featuring
12 spectacular evening concerts, 7 lunchtime concerts and ONE BIG SING.
Concerts include internationally renowned Tallis Scholars and King’s College Choir,
an evening of American Cabaret with singer Melanie Marshall, and amazing
musicians Penguin Café Orchestra to name but a few.
Calefax Reed Quintet

This wonderful evening of musical entertainment will show
Calefax at their most eclectic, with arrangements of standard
classical orchestra and piano pieces, mixed with jazz scores
