Let the party begin! It's New Year’s Eve, we’ve made room for dancing
and the place is hopping to the sound of the fiddle. Everyone’s here
except the voyageurs working far away. If only they had a way to come
back home to celebrate with their sweethearts and their families …
Pavillon canadien-français presents the long cherished tradition of
folklore and legends, a hallmark imbedded in our cultural roots and
collective unconscious. May this tall tale transport you to a mythical
world where you may rub shoulders with a priest, or a drunkard or
maybe even the Devil himself!

Literature comes alive at the Scandinavian Pavilion. The Nordic people
have always been book lovers. The Sagas, written during the time of
the Vikings, tell of Viking history, folklore and mythology. Following in
the great Viking tradition, the Nordic people continue to publish great
literature that is read extensively around the world. Who doesn't know
the characters of Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tales or perhaps you’re
familiar with Pippi Longstocking? Ever heard of the Moomins? If not, find
out who they are at the Scandinavian Pavilion.
