Line Daters are available in the manual style up to type size No. 6
(11/16” printing face) and in the self-inking style up to type size
No. 3 (5/16” printing face). All models are furnished with wooden
handles, deep molded bands of purest natural rubber, and chrome
plated steel frames.
Manual Style Daters, used with a separate stamp pad, are the
economical answer to a small volume of dating impressions. Choose
the self-inking style for speed and convenience in handling a medium
to high volume of date stampings.
Year bands on all models contain multiple years and the words
REC’D, PAID and FAXED. DATE BANDS CONTAIN 1 THROUGH 0
PLUS AN “X” AND A “ • ”.

Figures are shown actual size so you can determine maximum number of bands for a given width. Suppose that you want to stamp 8
interchangeable characters in a line so that the stamped impression is approximately 3” wide. Reading down the 3” line in the scale below, you
find that the number 4 size Gothic stamp has 8 characters in that width. Therefore, you should order a JB 4-8. Need a special layout? We can
add letter bands (A-M or N-Z) or a custom band in any position to meet your requirements. Ask for details.

Alphabet
stamps
These extra long stamps provide room for 28 characters on each band. The four stock bands
shown on the left can be assembled in any order required in sizes No. 00 through No. 3.
“Alphabet Stamp” is the common term for a stamp assembled entirely with letter bands (see styles
“V” & “R” at left). Used where coded lettering or complete words are to be stamped.
The term “cost and selling” applies to these stamps when alphabet and number bands are
combined. These stamps are commonly used by merchants to show a code cost price along with
a selling price.
To order, Specify: 1) Type Size 2) Number of Bands & 3) Style Number of Bands in the order you
want them.

What are special band stamps?
Often the need arises for a band stamp which is not carried in
stock and cannot be made up using all stock bands. Such stamps
may require letters, numbers, symbols, words or even phrases.
You may order bands that meet your individual needs and have
them assembled into a stamp, with or without additional stock bands.
