This monopoly game was made by the graphics workshop in the Theresienstadt ghetto to inform
children about ghetto life. The “Chance” cards give a glimpse into what life was like, as some of
the cards tell players that they must leave the game because their name is on a transport list for the
next day. Transports from Theresienstadt meant death in one of the extermination camps, usually
Auschwitz-Birkenau or Treblinka.
