teeth we did not really see a
tremendous slow down in
production, however since it had
been so long we
took the core barrel out of the hole
to check the teeth. We saw some
flat spotting, but truly the teeth did
not necessarily need to be changed,

Utility, Construction, Agriculture, and Foundation Augers – that is

In 1950 Pengo was established near San Francisco, CA, as a
manufacturer of utility industry equipment that was used to pull
high tension voltage transmission lines. While developing strong
working relationships in the utility industry it was noted that
there was a need for quality auger attachments for the utility and
foundation drilling industries.
The original Pengo patent for the earth auger was issued in 1951
and from this point on PENGO began to develop high-quality augers
that would drill more efficiently in various soil conditions. Pengo
has continued to manufacture augers and wear parts and has held
over 150 patents most of which are still the basis for the todays
drilling standards.
Pengo is always looking for “solutions” to help our customers with
drilling issues. Whether it is field testing or coming to the job site,
we strive every day to find the next drilling solution you need.
With increased demand for efficient product, Pengo deemed it
necessary to develop conical teeth for the drilling industry. The
drilling grade carbide along with a new attack angle provides
increased drill rates and longer wear-life of the tooth. After months
of testing across North America by various contractors, it was noted
that drill rates increased 20% to 40% and there was longer tooth
wear across the board.

PENGO LIMITED WARRANTY
Products manufactured by Pengo wear and are expendable in their function. Wear and tear and occasional breakage must, therefore, be expected.
Pengo products are warranted from defects in material and workmanship for a period of Sixty (60) Days from the date of invoice. Pengo will either replace or credit the defective
part at it’s option. Any labor and/or material required to remove or install parts is excluded under this Limited Warranty. Products that have been misused, misapplied, hardfaced,
improperly welded, or otherwise installed contrary to instructions and specifications are not covered by this Limited Warranty.
Pengo reserves the right to make design, specification and prices changes without notice and obligations to the affect of such changes.
Pengo makes no other warranty. All other warranties, whether express, implied or statuary, such as warranties of merchantability of fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby

Pengo reserves the right to determine whether
products claimed to be defective shall be
inspected by our personnel in the field or
returned to the factory. If judged by Pengo to
be defective in material or workmanship, the
product will be replaced or a credit issued at
the option of Pengo.
Upon notification of defect, Pengo’s Inside
Sales Department will issue a Return Goods
Authorization number (RGA). All returns for
replacement or credit MUST be accompanied
by a RGA number. Products returned without
a RGA number will be rejected and returned
to the sender freight collect.
