Usual fight for the prime spot parking wise. No probs for Woody & Raincoat as
They came on bikes., Woody being the perfect host and “looked” after new
female runner (name not in book ??).
Ivanta sent us off saying it was on chalk and flour and some paper. That was
the first fib, there was enough of the personal hygiene “paper” to stretch from
here to Anna Bay. The second fib was no sand or hills . Third being a drink
stop.Hah.
Check backs at Beenong, church st and dowling street (is down for the
meanest check back of the year and caught this “runner”). Drink stop should
have been at NBGC then and there.
Off through the cemetery and Mullet found a short cut that took 6 of us the
long way. Wreckless went via the Bowlo and I think had his own drink stop.
Of around Tallean and I passed Ouzo and Get for the 5th time and they still
had not drawn breath in the chat mode.
Old cheese showed me the way around to Boomerang and into the bush. TF’s
support as we finally got a bit of “on down”: to the halt.
Here we found the first instance of wrong marking with paper. 3 Pieces of
paper is a check and 2 is a check back. NOT the other way Attached is the
Nelson Bay
Hash House Harriers guide as set out by Big Nose 14 years ago. (It may not
mention toilet paper 2 or 3 for this guide but oh well)

Ballarat, Sydney.. etc.
Then we had a fine run through the bush and we could dream of a drink stop
perhaps at Blow Holes place? But oh NO we came to that sand hill….
New hasher Madame Gash stop at base of hill and said to those that would
listen (Wheres Wally, Bluetongue, Two Inches…) “What is that….”
I think we have been down it but this was up. Passing traffic of Rhino, Dry
Quack, Sybil , Raincoat and many other runners with too much energy.Then
finally we came to Nelson Bay rd. A drink stop ? No! Only Decision right for
Walker and left for “runners”. Witch, sticky , wet patch and other sensibly
persons went right. Serial Pest shot off towards Newcastle , others seem to
do a right turn towards bush. This fool followed, Raincoat stopped his gallop
to say hi then off he went. Trail was very clearly marked .. I did follow trail
through hills above sports fields then Narvala and Wallawa, On Home and no
drink stop for me. But had some left over drink stop at “home”. We may have
had a little new trail.. but Wreckless would probably comment “done before”
Mug got agitated that U8 should be fine for being late. U8 followed trail was
15 minutes after last runners and made circle easy. Mug last week was off
trail and was 1hr 30 minutes late.
Circle was usual , some fines gum balls, cheese and bickies, chocolate (GM
loves his chocolate). You know who you are, but Vinnies (chocolate) was
definitely amongst that lot. Babbles attempted to fine GM.. That’s a no no and
as it typical of teachers we could not understand her anyway. We have dogey
stubby holders on a strap for sale, being flogged by Sticky and Witch provided
the modelling of same, GM pointed out that worn correctly they would provide
some lift and separate for the harriettes.
Great hash mash of Spag Bol, followed by ice cream and water melon.
When leaving Woody and Raincoat seen to have domestic as Raincoat forgot
to put his special cleeted bike shoes on to ride bike.
