Dear Lisa,
With regards to the Grange Lakes shared use path, the Grange Cricket Club gives in principle support
for the new path and moving the cricket pitches.
As discussed on the phone we do have some concerns with the proximity of the path to the cricket
oval and the safety of the City of Charles Sturt citizens.
If the path does go ahead:• Signs will be erected by Council informing citizens of the danger while cricket matches are in
progress.
• The cricket pitches are moved further than the original six metres, to a position agreed to
between the Council and the cricket club.
• We believe that a chain mesh fence between the cricket oval and the new path would provide
suitable safety for citizens using the path.
Yours sincerely
Phil Ross
Chairman.

HI Lisa,
Apologies the first email didn't get through — know you're waiting for this information to finalise what you need to
pass on.
Our committees view is based on the fact that the path placement will come in about 6 metres, and this will require
shifting over of the turf cricket wicket to the west by approximately 10 metres.
If these are the distances then this would not have a negative impact on our use of the space; very minimal changes
to arrangements we put in place for events would be required.
Our preference would be for the path north of the second cricket pitch to go closer to the drain than out near that
field. This will ensure that field placement is more easily managed on the most northern field.
Given these comments the club is happy to provide our support to this project.
Kind regards

Hi
Can you please try and get something in writing to me: re the new pathway that we are proposing
along the Eastern side at Grange Reserve? We just need the Club's 'in principle' support?
Cheers

No problem providing it stays within the parameters discussed, i.e. outside the eastern side of the soccer pitch and
doesn't expose the drain too much, by removing bushes and or undergrowth, as in the right conditions, we lose balls
into the drain.

Bill
