Wettbewerb von POST Luxembourg in
Partnerschaft mit dem Ministerium für
nachhaltige Entwicklung und Infrastrukturen.
In diesem Jahr behandelt der große Preis
der Briefmarkengestaltung für Kinder und
Jugendliche das Thema Tiere und Pflanzen in
ihrem Lebensraum.

Auf unserer Erde entdecken wir viele Tiere und Pflanzen.
In diesem Malwettbewerb besteht deine Aufgabe darin,
Tiere und Pflanzen in ihrem natürlichen Lebensraum
darzustellen.
Stelle dir die Frage : Welche Tiere und
Pflanzen kenne ich ? Welche Ansprüche stellen
die verschiedenen Arten an ihre Umgebung ?
Leben sie im Wasser, auf der Wiese, im Wald
oder in der Hecke ?
Gehe nach draußen, damit du die richtigen Eindrücke
bekommst und suche die Tier- und Pflanzenarten auf,
die du in ihrem Lebensraum malen möchtest.
Jeder Lebensraum beherbergt seine eigenen Arten,
da jedes Tier und jede Pflanze andere Ansprüche hat.

et de plantes. Ce concours de dessin t’invite à représenter les
animaux et les plantes dans leur milieu naturel.

Pose-toi les questions suivantes : Quels sont les animaux
et les plantes que je connais ? Quelles sont les exigences
des différentes espèces par rapport à leur environnement ?
Vivent-elles dans l’eau, les champs, la forêt ou les haies ?
Fais une ballade pour recueillir des impressions et pars
à la recherche des espèces animales et végétales que tu
souhaites dessiner dans leur milieu naturel.
Chaque habitat héberge des espèces bien spécifiques
puisque chaque animal et chaque plante a des exigences
différentes.

Was gibt es zu gewinnen ?
• Wählt ein Zeichenpapier, das für die gewählte Technik
geeignet ist.
• Grundschüler der Zyklen 3 + 4. Sekundarschüler aller
Klassen.
In jeder Alterskategorie könnt ihr folgende Preise gewinnen :
• Format : 24 x 31 cm.
• Einzelpersonen oder Einzelpersonen innerhalb deiner
Schulklasse.
2. Preis : die Geldsumme von 350 A
• Technik : Aquarell, Buntstift, Acrylfarbe, Collage sind
erlaubt, keine Filzstifte.
• Angaben zur Briefmarke fügt POST Philately hinzu.
Dein Name, Geburtsdatum, Schulklasse, Privatadresse und
Telefonnummer gehören unbedingt auf den Rücken der
Zeichnung.

RULES of the
GRAND PRIX 2015-2016
of philatelic illustration & design
for youths
(DESIGN CONTEST)
In partnership with:
- The Ministère du Développement durable et des Infrastructures
- The Ministère de L’Education
POST Luxembourg, 8, avenue Monterey, L - 2020 Luxembourg, is organizing the
POST GRAND PRIX 2015-2016 of philatelic illustration & design for youths.
This creative design contest is for children and youths and has the objective of
creating two postage stamps to be issued in September 2014 on the theme:
« Animals and plants in their natural environment »
Special provisions:
1. The contest is divided into two age classes defined as follows :
• Age class "A": primary school, students of cycles 3 & 4;
• Age class "B": secondary school, students of classes from the 7th to 1st
or from 7th to 13th inclusive.
2. A special prize will be granted to a class. There will be a draw to decide the
winner. The primary and secondary school students may participate
individually or/and as a member of a class.
3. The designs are to be presented preferably on design paper appropriate for
the chosen technique, only in a size that does not exceed 24 x 31 cm.
4. All design and illustration techniques can be used or combined (watercolors,
crayons, acrylics, collages, digital works on computer, etc.) Felt markers,
however, are not allowed.
5. For works produced on a computer, the participant will provide not only a
printout of the work, but also a CD-ROM containing the related digital file.
6. It is not permitted to include in the designs
• portraits of famous or otherwise identifiable people;
• trademarks or signs;
• explanatory text and legends or text balloons;
• text which is normally found on a stamp (« Postes, Luxembourg, 0,70€ »
etc). These markings will be added by the POST.
7. The designs will focus on different aspects of the treasures of the soil.

8. The name of the young artist, as well as his or her contact information (date
of birth, class attended, private address and phone number) must be
included on the back of the design. No distinctive markings should be
included on the front of the design; otherwise the entry will be excluded
immediately and definitively from the contest.
9. The participant or the participant’s legal representative will certify upon
request from the jury, and on a special form provided by the organizer, that
the work presented has been created completely by the participant whose
name is marked on the back of the work.
10. The contest is free with no obligation to purchase. It will begin the
15th of September 2015. The designs participating in the contest are to
be submitted at post office counters, Postshops, or the philatelic service by
Monday, 29 February 2016 at the latest, the postmark being proof
of delivery date. The receiving post office will deliver the designs to the
jury at no charge by means of the internal mail service of the POST.
11. A jury composed of two representatives of the Ministère du Développement
durable et des Infrastructures, one representative of POST Marketing and
Communication department, one representative of the Material service
(printing office), and two representatives of POST Philately will select the best
designs by category, and from these two designs a postage stamp will be
published. The winners will be informed by mail.
12. The jury will be assisted by a teacher of primary education and a teacher of
secondary education.
13. The stamps will be created and put on sale inseptembre 2016 on the
occasion of the philatelic issues for autumn 2016. The name of the young
artist will be mentioned in the margin of the stamps.
14. The following prizes, awarded by the decision of the jury, will compensate
the winners of the design contest(prizes are for each of the categories "A"
and "B", mentioned above in article 1):
• 1st prize: the sum of 1,000 EUR. The design will be published as a

2nd prize: the sum of 350 EUR,
3rd prize: the sum of 200 EUR,
4th to 5th; an electronically instrument worth from 100 to 150 €
6th to 10th; an electronically instrument worth from 50 to 100 €
11th to 15th prizes: annual stamps collection
A prize of 500 € will be given to a class decided by draw.

15. Participation in the contest implies the agreement of the participant, or the
participant’s legal representative if he or she is a minor, to these rules. In
particular, the participant or the participant’s legal representative agrees to
freely grant to the POST Luxembourg the right to reproduce the illustrations
for use on postage stamps and on all other products (view cards,). All works
submitted to the contest will be the property of POST Luxembourg.
16. By the very fact of participating in the contest, the participant or the
participant’s legal representative agrees to accept the decision of the jury,
which will not be publicly influenced, and accepts that this decision cannot be
the subject of legal action.
17. The present rules will be deposited to Etude Carlos CALVO - Frank SCHAAL,
huissiers de Justice, 65, rue d’Eich, L- 1461 LUXEMBOURG. Copies of the
rules will be freely given to anyone making a request for them.
