VISITING ARTISTS SERIES
History
Cedarburg PAC, Inc. was founded in 1999 to help the Cedarburg School District deliver
on its promise of bringing professionally managed performing artists to Ozaukee
County. The Cedarburg PAC, Inc. enabled the District to fulfill its commitment to the
community without assuming the financial risk of funding a Visiting Artists Series.
Collaboration with the Cedarburg School District remains a vital element of the
Cedarburg PAC, Inc.’s mission today. Key to this relationship is the recognized value of
involving and exposing students to the performing arts/artists, as well as the operating
business of a performing arts center, in ways that are not otherwise possible.
Cedarburg PAC, Inc. Mission
Each season, the Cedarburg PAC, Inc. sets out to Enlighten, Educate and Entertain. This
translates to every event we schedule and every life we touch. We work to accomplish
our mission by offering ongoing opportunities to the students and residents of the
greater Cedarburg area and beyond to experience and appreciate the performing arts.
Bringing Our Mission to Life
Each year, the Cedarburg PAC, Inc. brings world-class performers to our community
through presentation of the Visiting Artists Series. The Visiting Artists Series showcases
a broad range of nationally renowned performers and rising stars in a state-of-the-art,
intimate theatre. Our 580-seat theatre allows audience members to get closer to their
favorite vocalists, comedians, actors and musicians than many other venues. In fact, the
last row in our theatre is only 78 feet from the stage!
With each performance an effort is made to expose students to guest artists through
master classes, workshops, question & answer sessions and on-stage collaborations. In
addition, we work to provide student internship experiences in conjunction with the
Cedarburg PAC, Inc.’s marketing, hospitality and business functions.

For over 35 years, 10,000 Maniacs has been winning the hearts of music fans around
the world, selling over 10 million records. Together with artists like R.E.M., they helped
define “college rock” and the first wave of “alternative rock” bands with their pop-conscious, literate and lush aesthetic.
Their first album in 13 years, Music From The Motion Picture released in 2013, was hailed
as a beautiful affirmation of the band’s classic poetic lyrics and dreamy Americana
blend. Their latest release in 2015, Twice Told Tales, is a collection of traditional folk
songs from the British Isles.

Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience is the nation’s most

Even though this legendary coach has passed on, his spirit is still alive in this one-man
play. John Pinero is Vince Lombardi! The Green Bay Packers would say so. The NFL
would say so. Even Lombardi’s team would confess that Vince is still with us today.
John Pinero’s portrayal of the greatest professional coach in football history is a force
to be reckoned with. Pinero has won praise and recognition from every significant
member of the professional football community. Even ABC Television hired him to star
in the 2006 pre-game Super Bowl show.

Dallas String Quartet – Electric is a Dallas-based, international ensemble playing
contemporary music on electric string instruments. With amplified instruments, this
dynamic, young group brings new life to music from artists like Maroon 5, Guns N’
Roses, and Bruno Mars.
Comprised of violinists Tatiana Glava and Melissa Priller, violist Ion Zanca and cellist
Gaston Colloca, DSQ takes you on a journey to the nexus of classical music and
modern pop where artists like Beethoven and Bono collide. They have already released
three albums and have a huge following on Pandora, Sirius XM and other radio
stations.

RANGERS
Since the early ’90s when they first achieved national television fame on PBS’s Where
In The World Is Carmen Sandiego? Rockapella has become one of the world’s most
enduring and imitated vocal groups around today. And, they’re back in Cedarburg by
popular demand!
As one of the creators of the full-band sound of “contemporary” a cappella, they have
shown audiences the raw power of pure vocal talent and originality. With catchy
original pop songs, and contemporary revisions of Motown, pop, and soul classics, this
group has always been the one to watch!
A North Carolina bluegrass band at their core, the Steep Canyon Rangers effortlessly
walk the line between festival favorite and sophisticated string orchestra. They’re
as danceable as the most progressive, party-oriented string band, and equally
comfortable translating their songs for accompaniment by a full symphony.
It’s that mix of serious chops and good-natured fun that earned the Steep Canyon
Rangers the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album in 2013 (for the album Nobody
Knows You), and that drew celebrated comedian/banjoist Steve Martin to them when

Youth INVOLVEMENT
In keeping with our mission to Enlighten, Educate and Entertain, we work to create
experiential opportunities for the young people of our community. They spend time
learning what it takes to put on a successful Visiting Artists Series. They also learn from
renowned performers through master classes, workshops, on-stage collaborations and
special performances.
In 2015, Cedarburg PAC, Inc. presented a Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra student
performance for the holidays filling the theatre with young people from different
schools and grade levels. It was so well received that we will be presenting the MSO
student performance again this December with underwriting by
The Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Rita Edquist Memorial Fund.

two young people to sing with him on stage during his performance at the
Cedarburg PAC.
• Choir students took the stage to sing with the renowned Osmond Brothers during
their holiday performance.
• Wisconsin’s favorite funnyman John McGivern conducted an Actor’s Workshop for
high school drama students.
