FOOTBALL
Limited to the first 75 campers
Instructors: Keith Davis and area football coaches
We are fortunate to have once again, Keith Davis, former New York Giants
linebacker and motivational speaker. Keith’s heart for the Lord and students
is as big as his muscles. Keith will also be our Tuesday lunchtime speaker as
he demonstrates his amazing acts of strength and shares about
how God is His real source of strength and power. Area
football coaches will aid Keith daily in instruction.
BASEBALL
Limited to the first 75 campers
Instructor: Chris House
The baseball instructor for the week will be Chris House,
former Georgia Tech baseball player and Team Captain who played
in the College World Series. He is presently the Athletic Minister with
Christian Campus Fellowship on the Georgia Tech campus.
CHEERLEADING
Limited to the first 25 campers
Instructor: Makenzie Maze
Makenzie Maze is from Arab, Alabama where she cheered
throughout junior and high school. She graduated in
2008 and cheered at Wallace State. After graduating
with a degree in Science, Makenzie transferred to the
University of Alabama in 2010 where she is currently
starting her 3rd year on the Varsity Co-ed Squad. At
UA, Makenzie won a UCA Cheerleading National
Championship in 2011 and cheered for the 2011 BCS
Football National Championship in New Orleans.
SOFTBALL
Limited to the first 25 campers
Instructor: Capper Reed
Capper Reed will be the lead instructor for softball this year. Capper graduated from Guntersville High
School, where she played boys baseball and was the only female to hit a homerun in a varsity baseball game. She
went on to the University of Alabama, where she played softball from 2002-2005 and basketball from 20012003. She currently coaches girls’ softball and basketball in the Guntersville schools.
SOCCER
Limited to the first 50 campers
Instructor: Lenny Muckle
We are pleased to once again welcome Lenny Muckle as lead instructor.
Lenny is the founder and president of YESAC (Youth Enjoying Soccer Athletic
Club). Lenny is a former player of the Pittsburgh Dynamo and
Pittsburgh Brazilians. Following his competitive playing,
Lenny has coached for seventeen years and holds a
USSF National Coaching License.
BASKETBALL
Limited to the first 75 campers
Instructor: Danny Anderson and Jennifer Kitchens
Boys basketball will be led by Danny Anderson, former semi-pro player of the
“Magic City Court Kings” and former Midland College and UNA basketball
player. Jennifer Kitchens, former Jacksonville State basketball player, will be leading the girls’ basketball. Both Danny and Jennifer are currently Guntersville High and
Middle basketball coaches.
BOWLING
Limited to the first 25 campers
Instructor: Terry Nelson
Bowling will only be offered in the afternoon. Terry Nelson will be leading the instruction. Terry has 25 years as a league bowler and is a member of Marshall County ABC/
USBC Board of Directors for 15 years. His achievements and awards are as follows:
(2) 300 games, (2) 299 games, (1) 800 series and 11 strikes in a row.
SWIMMING
Limited to the first 25 campers
Instructor: Sam Bates
Sam Bates will be leading swimming this year. Sam swam from age 7-18 yearround and holds records in Boaz and Albertville. He received a gold medal in all
10 events at the District and State level including relays and has coached swimming
for 4 summers. He is currently a student at the University of
Alabama studying Exercise Sports Science and is looking to
pursue a degree in Physical Therapy.
TENNIS
Limited to the first 50 campers
Instructor: Steve Machen
Steve Machen will be the main instructor for the week. Steve is a certified
USPTA tennis pro and is the coach for the Snead State Tennis Team. He has directed
them to Nationals three years in a row. Steve will be assisted by current and former
college and high school players.
GYMNASTICS
Limited to the first 25 campers
Instructors: Laura Champion and Tristan Powell
Local instructors, Lauren Champion and Tristan Powell, will be instructing at
Kayla’s Gym in Boaz. Lauren is currently teaching gymnastics in Albertville and
has been an instructor for 5 years and Tristan has instructed at Kayla’s Gym for 7
years. Lauren and Tristan will be working on floor skills, tumble track, and will be
challenging campers according to ability.
GOLF
Limited to the first 25 campers in morning session
Instructors: PGA Professionals on staff at Gunter’s Landing
The instructors for the week are the PGA golf pros on staff at Gunter’s Landing,
where the lessons will take place each day. Facilities include a driving range, chipping
and putting greens, and a par three course. The pros will be assisted by current and
former college and high school players.
VOLLEYBALL
Limited to the first 25 campers
Instructor: Jimmy Latta
State Champion Guntersville Wildcat Coach for the past 3 years,
Jimmy Latta will be the main instructor for the week. Members
of the volleyball team will be assisting Coach Latta during the
week. This year, volleyball will be held inside a gym.
KARATE
Limited to the first 25 campers
Instructor: Matt Roeder
Matt Roeder is a 3rd degree black belt in U.S. Yoshukai Karate and has been in karate
for 18 years. Currently, he is an assistant instructor at the Albertville Karate Academy. Matt
instructed karate at the University of Alabama for three years, including one summer of instructing the Crimson Tide football team. In 2006, he received Instructor of the Year in the U.S.
Yoshukai Karate style and has competed in the USYKA tournament circuit placing in the top 10 in the division.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
A notice of camper cancellation/request for refund must be sent in writing in order to be valid for a refund.
There will be a $30.00 administration fee for all cancellations with the remaining balance being refunded.

PLAYING FACILITIES
The Albertville Recreation Center will serve as the main playing facility along with Gunter’s Landing for golf,
Boaz Bowling Alley, Kayla’s Gym and area church gyms (transportation will be provided by the church).
DEPOSIT/DEADLINE
Space is limited so register early!!! To verify availability for late registration, or if you have any questions, please call

FOOD
Campers will be provided lunch every day. They will also be supplied with unlimited water and Gatorade.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
EQUIPMENT: Players are required to bring their own equipment (bats, gloves, clubs, racquet).
Please put your child’s name on all items.
CLOTHING: Each camper must provide his own shoes, socks, shorts and t-shirts.
DISCIPLINE: Any serious violation of camp rules or regulations could result in immediate dismissal from
camp. There will be no refund in this situation.
INSURANCE: Basketball camp participants are required to provide their own medical insurance.
A professional trainer/doctor/nurse is on duty at all times. Doctors are on call 24 hours a day.
Because of the rigorous schedule, each camper should come to camp in good physical
condition.
EMERGENCIES: Due to the number of campers and planned schedules, personal phone calls are not allowed,
except in the case of an emergency. In the case of an emergency, you may call 256-891-0924.

Church, its pastors, employees, agents and volunteer workers from any and all liability for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property
that may occur during the course of my/our child’s involvement. In the event that he/she is injured and requires the attention of a doctor, I/We
consent to any reasonable medical treatment as deemed necessary by a licensed physician. In the event treatment is required from a physician
and/or hospital personnel designated by the Church, I/We agree to hold such person free and harmless of any claims, demands, or suits for
damages arising from the giving of such consent. I/We also acknowledge that we will be ultimately responsible for the cost of any medical care
should the cost of that medical care not be reimbursed by the health insurance provider. Further, I/We affirm that the health insurance information provided above is accurate at this date and will, to the best of my/our knowledge, still be in force for the student named above. I/We also
agree to bring my/our child home at my/our own expense should they become ill or if deemed necessary by the student ministries staff member.
