Principal’s Report
P&C AGM
This evening at 6.30pm our P&C
AGM will be held in the school hall.
Our P&C is a way to learn more
about our school and support our staff
and students in their learning. Our
P&C runs our canteen and orders
school uniforms for students. Your
attendance at our meetings is valued
and all are welcome to join in. I hope
to see you tonight in the hall at
6.30pm.
Kindergarten Learn About
Bus Safety
Kindergarten students took a bus ride
this week with Busways to learn about
safe travel. It is also timely for us to
remind all students to sit while
travelling on the bus, use respectful
language and follow the driver’s
instructions. Students also need to
stand back from the kerb when
waiting for the bus near their homes.
Parents could reinforce this message
to help us keep everyone safe.
Spelling & Vocabulary Focus
Our teachers have been learning
more about the teaching of
vocabulary to our students during
Professional Learning sessions this

term. We also have our spelling
focus and thank all those families
who have paid for their children’s
workbook and are helping with
spelling homework.
Staff on Leave
Some staff are currently on leave.
We are fortunate to be able to call
on an experienced and competent
group of casual staff. Mrs Jenny
Hullman is currently relieving as our
Reading Recovery and Learning
Support Teacher, Mrs Annette Broad
is working with 3-4B, Mrs Janelle
McDermid is supporting 3-4B and
1-2M as School Learning Support
Officer while Miss Rachel Hubbard is
away becoming Mrs Rachel!
Great Effort SRC
Congratulations to our SRC who put
saucy smiles on many faces with their
Hot Diggity Dog Day. Some great
helpers and organisers were found
during this activity!

investigate Wet Environments which is being studied in class in HSIE.
First we went to the well with Sonya and Lily’s mum
and Mr Lester. Next we saw lots of bats. Mrs Joske told
us the bats poo makes trees grow. People hate them.
They help the environment. After that we went to the
boardwalk. I saw a school of fish. I saw a
puffa fish and crabs. I had a great time.
