This holiday contains a very diverse selection of hikes accessible for anyone who enjoys nature. These walks all over the island of Mallorca are ¨not too difficult¨ and have been selected for their beauty and landscapes. The peninsula of Alcúdia for example, with its steep
cliffs and ancient watchtower, or the nature reserve of ‘Serra de Llevant’ with hidden beaches
and beautiful white sand. With this on of a kind set of routes you will have a unique opportunity to experience many hidden natural treasures of Mallorca in a pleasant and relaxed way.
PROGRAM DAY BY DAY
Day 1
Network of routes: hinterlands of Campanet
In the hinterland of Campanet and Selva, on the unexplored foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana ProNature Travel has designed an
exclusive network of walking trails. These old trails were in use by
local farmers and smugglers, but nowadays are mostly forgotten
and remain unused. In cooperation with local land owners, municipalities and rural hotel owners from our Land Stewardship Network,
we are repairing these routes and restoring the traditional landscape. You can choose from a steadily growing variety of trails to
explore this beautiful unexplored area of the Serra de Tramuntana.
Day 2
Peninsula of Alcúdia
From all around the bays of Pollença and Alcúdia you can
see the peak of ‘Talaia de Alcúdia’. Fortunately for nature lovers, very few people actually go there, it is a refugee for Mallorcan wild goats. You can explore the unexpectedly remote and
wild landscape, enjoying great panoramic sea views, the ancient watchtower of Alcúdia and the remote beach of ‘Coll Baix’.

Day 3
Monastery of Lluc and surroundings
The monastery of Lluc considered being the most important pilgrimage site in Mallorca and is a classic tourist sight. The surrounding landscape of the Lluc monastery is very quiet, only a
few minutes from the monastery you will find yourself in another world. Here the extremely weathered limestone has created a beautiful landscape with extraordinary shapes. This route has 2 alternatives according to the length you wish to walk.
Day 4
Castle of Alaró
The silhouette of the, almost, symmetrical mountains of Alaró and
Alcadena, situated one opposite the other, are the most outstanding images of the municipality of Alaró and a point of reference
throughout the plains of Mallorca. The fortification dates back to
Arab times. Nowadays you also find here the 17th century hermitage of ‘Mare de Déu de refugi’ and a mountain refuge where you can stop for a coffee. Olive groves and tiny, hardly used
trails bring you back to Alaro via the picturesque village of Orient.
Day 5
Cuber Lake and Tossals Verds summit
Cúber and Gorg Blau are the two major water basins spectacularly situated on the flanks of Mallorca’s highest mountain - Puig
Mayor. You will walk through a very dense Holm Oak forest in the
direction of the mountain refuge of Tossals Verds. The Mallorcan
wild goat, with its distinctive brown fur and black stripe on its
back, can frequently be seen wandering in these forests. If you
feel up to it you have the option to climb the summit of Tossals
Verds or you can just relax around the water spring ‘Font des Prat’.
Day 6
Vultures of Balitx and coastal route to Cala Tuent
The valley of Balitx is hidden behind spectacular cliffs which
renders it accessible from only one side. From ‘Ses Barques’
you follow a dirt road which brings you to the heart of this
peaceful hidden valley. Due to a close cooperation between
the estate owner of Balitx d’Avall and the VCF, the Black Vultures find refuge here, so you can be almost sure to spot one
in the area. The impressive coastal route to Cala Tuent takes
you through a lost corner of the Serra de Tramuntana far away
from the mass tourism. A taxi will be waiting for you to take
you back to Soller along Mallorca’s most scenic mountain road.

Program notes
Although the climbs do not exceed 500 m per day and the hikes have a maximum length of about
14 km you would still need to be in a good physical shape. Some routes have the option of a shorter
alternative or you could simply visit a nearby village.
The indicated duration of the excursions does not include pauses and only estimates the actual walking time, real duration may vary 15% according the physical state of the hiker. The order in which
the excursions are presented is a suggestion and can be changed by the clients.

To and from destination
Flights or ferries to Mallorca are not included in our holidays since on the internet tickets are
purchased much cheaper and quicker. However, if you need any help we can assist you in purchasing

At the destination
A rental car is included in the holiday price; you drive of straight from the airport or port. If you do
not wish to make use of this service, let us know and we will discount it from the total price. For
groups greater than 6 persons transport can be included, please ask us for more details.
Accommodation
After having selected the holiday you have the option to add an accommodation of our Land Stewardship Network. The final price of the complete holiday is compiled out of the combination of the
holiday and accommodation price.

Our Network of Land Stewardship Accommodations is a selection of very special and unique rural
hotels. With these accommodations, the Vulture Conservation Foundation established an agreement
of cooperation in which cultural and natural values of their property are recognised and specific conservation actions identified. These actions are supported and executed by the foundation and the
estate owners together, in that way our clients can profit from these beautiful and peaceful places
and are secured that they are managed in a sustainable way.

After you make the reservation, you will receive the client data form which you need to fill out and
send it back to us by email. This data form is necessary in order to process the reservation and is
your confirmation for your reservation; please make sure that everything is filled out correctly. After
we receive the client data form we will process the reservation. After completion of this process your
invoice will be sent by email and charged by our collaborating travel agency: Viajes Isla Fortuna S.A.
from Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca.
