The German International School Toronto offers an outstanding educational
experience through a combination of academic rigor, small class sizes, an
array of cultural events and extracurricular programs within an international
setting.
We offer a unique curriculum that fully integrates the highest standards of
Thuringia and Ontario.
The linguistic and academic advantages we offer our students set them
apart and offer them critical advantages in a global environment.
We currently provide Early Childhood Education, Kindergarten programming
and teach Grades 1-8.
Following ten years of growth, we find our potential constrained by our
current premises.

Our goal is to prepare students to achieve their full potential and contribute in a global and
rapidly changing society.
A critical step will be to expand our offering to Grade 12 and to offer an internationally
recognized diploma which creates the opportunity for university admission around the
globe.
To ensure a wide reach and range of students, we are actively seeking to attract more
students with Canadian and international backgrounds.
Our new premises at 50 Erie Street is the foundation of our school’s future as it gives us a
permanent home from which to reach for our vision. Located in a quiet neighbourhood
close to Hwy 401 and major public transport routes, its easy access makes it ideal for
students across the city.
We have created the foundation “Friends of the German International School Toronto” to
bring together a community that includes the German Consulate and the Canadian
German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in support of our passion for academic
excellence and an international focus.
