Dear Friends of St. Paul Lutheran School,
Welcome to our 14th Annual St. Paul Lutheran School Auction
and Benefit Dinner. It is our desire to make this a fun-filled
evening. If you have any questions or if we can be of assistance,
please feel free to speak to a member of our Auction Committee
or to a faculty member. We are here to serve you.
Our committee invites you to join us in "Composing Our
Future." There are many elegant decorations and a great dinner
menu that will hopefully make your evening enjoyable. The
numerous items available at tonight's auction are sure to test
your bidding skills.
Under God's direction and blessing, St. Paul Lutheran Church
and School continue to provide a Christ-centered environment
where students are prepared spiritually and scholastically for
their futures. Proceeds from last year's Auction were used to
provide a Reading Resource Teacher, specialty teachers, new
science textbooks, an updated playground, a Christ-centered
education for more young students through scholarship
funding, and other items to benefit our students. This year we
are looking to continue the tradition of providing these
resources, purchasing new math textbooks, and providing
financial assistance to families in need.
Special thanks are expressed to all who helped with this event.
Please consider supporting the businesses and individuals who
were able to help us with their donations.
Your presence is greatly appreciated. Please relax, enjoy, and
have a great evening.
In His Name,
Duane Giesselmann, Principal

With the new school year starting in Fall 2009,
St. Paul Lutheran School will be celebrating its
135th year. The church celebrated its 135th
anniversary in 2008, and as history is written,
the school was founded within a short year of the
church’s organization. The founders believed in
the importance of a sound Christian education, and 135 years
later, (and thousands of students later), the school continues to
stand on this firm foundation.
The mission of St. Paul Lutheran School is to “provide a
Christ-centered environment where students are prepared
spiritually and scholastically for their future.”
St. Paul Alumni have been tremendously successful in their
lives after graduating from St. Paul – from high school and
college successes in academics, athletics, student government
and community awareness to career successes as entrepreneurs,
doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, financial specialists,
teachers, pastors, missionaries, film and television editors,
photographers, builders, nurses, therapists, designers, computer
specialists, professors, authors, biologists, restaurateurs, and
much more. The list is endless: the successes are many.
The purpose of St. Paul Lutheran School is to provide a
setting wherein children receive daily instruction in the
Word of God and instruction in all other subjects in the
light of God's Word.
As we celebrate the school’s birthday, we also celebrate the
successes of our graduates throughout the years. We celebrate
solid education with real results, and we celebrate students who
have grown into Christians who have found their talents and
passions in a variety of fields.
Philosophy and Purpose
The educational philosophy of St. Paul Lutheran School is
an integrated set of beliefs used to interpret, determine,
and evaluate educational objectives, practices, outcomes,
needs, and study materials.
In Scripture we find the following mandates:
“Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it.”
Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…”
Matthew 28:19 (NIV)
If you are interested in providing a Christ-centered
education for your child please contact the school office at
756-5147.
Happy Birthday, St. Paul Lutheran School!

The tempo of tonight’s festivities will begin adagio, as you wander in
and out of each of the Silent Auction rooms. All of the silent auction
items are in the 1st – 8th grade classrooms on the main floor of the
school, while the oral auction items are displayed in the jazz club
(gymnasium). Be sure to help yourself to complimentary beverages
and hors d’oeuvres during the Silent Auction.
As the evening progresses, the tempo will increase to allegretto as you
find the items you want to bid on. Then, moments before each Silent
Auction room closes, the tempo will break into allegro and the
bidders’ excitement will crescendo as everyone writes in final bids.
The conductor then announces the end of the Silent Auction session,
followed by a brief interlude before dinner is served.

Each St. Paul Lutheran School class selected a song as
inspiration for a display of items to be auctioned this evening.
The items filling the displays were donated by the students and
their families as they relate to the chosen theme. This was
intended to allow the students to become even more involved in
the major fund-raiser for their school. The Class Displays will
be auctioned as listed with the Oral Auction items. Take a look
at these great class displays before the auction begins. A
complete list of the contents of each display is on your table for
