Since the advent of Secoroc Magnum SR35,
this range of patented threaded drill systems
have expanded with new applications.
Now, two Magnum SR and one TC can be
found above ground working on construction
and bench drilling.
More material where it’s needed
Thanks to these patented conical
threaded systems, we’re confident that
rod breakage is a problem you will
see a lot less of. Because there is more
material at the rod end - hence the distinctive conical shape - we’ve successfully strengthened the product, while
minimizing any tendency to deviate
during collaring. The result? Straighter
holes and a much longer service life.
The common denominator for both systems is that they offer thicker and stronger rods with the same bit diameters as
the equivalent R or T threaded system.
The result is less downtime, straighter
holes and better productivity. And as
an extra bonus, rods and bits are much
easier to couple and uncouple.

Made to match the FlexiRoc
drilling rigs
The FlexiRoc T15 and T20 are a range
of remote controlled tophammer drilling rigs that regularly operate on construction and bench drilling sites. They
needed to find new and appropriate
drillstring solutions to match and found
it in the Magnum SR28, Magnum
SR32 and the TC35. This group of drill
strings cover holes from 33 mm to 64
mm and offer unique drilling qualities.
Secoroc TC35 – Fits the
FlexiRoc T20
The TC35 matches the FlexiRoc T20
perfectly, working on construction or
bench drilling sites. Replacing the R32
system, this 48-64 mm diameter drill
system is quite an all rounder. Despite
being more robust than the R32, the
TC35 still offers an equivalent range of
drill sizes, though this time, with minimal bending tendency and maximal
longevity. And thanks to this trapezoidal conical system, the TC35 can use
51 mm extension drilling equipment
such as round Speedrods and retrac
button bits.
They are ideal in urban housing areas,
for example, where stringent restric-
tions on vibration and noise have been
set. Quite simply, the combination of
TC35 and 51mm extension equipment
means faster drilling, larger blast areas
and minimal disturbance to the
surroundings.
Even though the R25 drill system
offers the same size of drill holes, the
Magnum SR28 offers more with its
conical threads, its robust rods and long
service life.
Magnum SR32 – Ideal for
FlexiRoc T15
The FlexiRoc T15, a size smaller than
the T20, is ideal for those tight urban
construction sites. Here, the Magnum
SR32 can drill holes from 38-48 mm
using hexagonal or round Speedrods and
a choice of three button bits designs. In
fact, SR32 drill rods are stronger and
thicker that the equivalent R28 drills.
Magnum SR28 – Extension or
shank end rods
The Magnum SR28, the smallest
of these three models, has a hole
range from 33-45 mm in diameter
using shank end rods or single pass
Speedrods. If you prefer extension rod
systems then you can drill holes as
small as 41-45 mm by using hexagonal
Speedrods. There is also a choice of
the five drill bits designs – four button bits and one cross type – enabling
FlexiRoc T15 to operate productively
in difficult areas.
