From Your Pastor
Dear First Baptist Family,
What’s in a name? If your name was Lottie Moon, then there’s a lot to
your name! Fluent in several languages, a gifted linguist, and a passionate
follower of Christ, Lottie Moon’s name has been used in connection with
international missions for several decades.
A Fellowship of Encouragement
Her story is thrilling and has inspired more than a few generations of
missionaries. In our denomination, this season of giving and celebration
would not be complete without recognizing Miss Moon’s sacrifice and
commitment to those who didn’t know Christ. On December 2 at 10:00,
we will be hosting a dramatic presentation of Lottie Moon’s life. If you
can attend, you won’t be disappointed.

Luke 2:11
As you can tell by some of the posters that have been placed around our
campus, our congregation is going to be highlighting international
missions this month. On Friday December 4, at 7 pm, we will host a
concert with all proceeds going toward the Lottie Moon Christmas
Offering. And, our church wide goal this year for the Lottie Moon
Christmas Offering is $14,000.00. Remember, every dollar you give goes
for mission efforts around the globe.
When Miss Moon died at the age of 72, she had spent 40 years of her
life in China. Her legacy is vast and reflects a life well lived for the glory
of Christ. Like her, let’s leave a legacy…
To God Alone Be the Glory,
Pastor Bobby

Pregnancy Support Center
On Saturday, November 7th the Pregnancy Support Center hosted
a 5k run/walk for life event called "Imago Dei". “Imago Dei”
means in the image of God, which is why we at the PSC advocate
for the unborn. We had approximately 60 participants show up
that beautiful morning at 8AM to either run the 5k course or walk
the lake. The top 3 finishers of the 5k won a
medal. Congratulations to our 1st place winner Bethany Anderson,
2nd place winner Anthony Johnson, and our 3rd place winner
William Murray. It was a fun, family-friendly occasion that raised approximately $3500 after expenses
for the event. The Pregnancy Support Center and all of the moms, children and families whose lives are
being influenced by our services would like to express our gratitude to the volunteers who gave of their
time and talents, the businesses in our community who gave generously to sponsor the event, and to all
of you who either financially donated or participated on that day. We couldn't do what we do
without your help, so for that we are very appreciative. Most of all, we covet your prayers on behalf of
the Center and all that we stand for.

Dear Ladies of First Baptist Church,
Thank you and bless you. Through your “servant's
heart” faithfulness in providing a covered dish
when called upon, you have participated in one of
Jesus' ministries--caring for and responding to the
needs of those who have lost a loved one. During
the 2015 church year, 16 families were touched by
your individual food preparation which enabled us
to serve a complete meal here at the church or in
one's home, and to prepare fruit baskets, snacks,
and desserts for home or travel. As a committee,
may we collectively extend to each of you our
sincere appreciation and the many thanks and
appreciation for your efforts expressed by these
receiving families.

Dear Church Family,
Words alone can not express how much your love
and compassion expressed to us at the home going
of our brother, Ronald Randolph, has meant to
us. Knowing that you were praying for us and for
the family was such a reminder of the Father's love.
Thank you for your prayers, cards and gifts.
We love you!
