this paper is typical of the “Hanshi” paper used in “shodo” (Japanese “way

Kitakata
Handmade in Japan of 100% Philippine gampi, this natural-colored paper
has a delicate and subtle laid pattern. It is often used in restoration and
bookbinding due to its strength. It is also suitable for printmaking, chine
collé and block printing. Acid-free; 4 natural deckle edges.
Mulberry
Handmade in Japan of a mix of kozo and sulphite. Its name comes from
the mulberry plant from which the kozo fiber is taken. Lightweight and
soft, it is strong and very versatile. This paper is excellent for printing or

Silk Tissue
Machine-made in Japan from gampi and sulphite. Silk Tissue is used as
an interleaving, a mending tissue in conservation work and a chine collé
