The Ferrari 308 GTB was the successor to the Dino 308 GT4. When the Ferrari was first spotted testing in Italy, the
‘Prancing Horse’ magazine in the US called the 308 GTB ‘a very new Dino’ - but the production car was a Ferrari
through-and-through.
The engine, driveline, suspension, steering and brakes are shared with the Ferrari 308 GT4, but to style the car,
Ferrari returned to Pininfarina rather than work with Bertone again. The svelte lines penned by Leonardo
Fioravanti at Pininfarina remain as stunning today as they were when first revealed in 1975.
This particular Ferrari 308 GTB is an original right-hand-drive example, first registered in the UK in 1980, when it
was used as the Maranello Concessionaires demonstrator car at the famous Tower Garage in Egham. This 308 GTB
is presented in red (Rosso Corsa) over black (Nero) hide with black carpets, and still has its original and correct
shallow front spoiler and 14-inch alloy wheels.
A substantial history file accompanies this Ferrari 308 GTB, authenticating the car as a very well-maintained
example. Not only that, but the jack kit, tool roll and factory book pack are all also present, including this 308 GTB’s
original warranty card.
