The bean throwing ritual is an age‐old custom in Japan. It is intended to drive away evil and to wish for health for the coming year. Every year, a huge bean‐throwing ceremony is held at the Takahata Fudoson Temple. We have arranged a special opportunity for a lucky few overseas visitors to participate in the bean throwing ritual! The special program also includes a commemorative photograph with Miss Japan, as well as a tour of important cultural properties. ●Special privileges

Heralding the coming of spring, the Hinamatsuri is a traditional festival to pray for the health and growth of girls. Take the chance to try on a kimono and join in the doll floating ritual held on the Sumida River. Enjoy a chirashi‐zushi lunch and view the doll decorations at the Kyugetsu Doll Institute, which dates back to the Edo period. Have your photo taken in front of the doll decorations with the beautiful Miss Japan, the pride of the nation and one of the campaign’s special supporters.
