Contact with a partner’s racquet is a
common cause of a damaged racquet in
doubles play. YONEX uses a
single-pass stringing, grommet-hole
construction that concentrates more
grommet holes at the top of the frame at
10 o’clock and 2 o’clock positions,
creating a single-pass stringing pattern
that builds 7% more durability upward in
the Armortec-800 frame for increased
protection against contact damage.

the game’s first racquets designed exclusively for
doubles players. These models let doubles players
choose a racquet that is matched to their individual
style of play. Armortec-800 Offensive features a
Boxed shape cross-section that creates a high-power
frame with a stable hitting surface. The stiff shaft
transfers more power into smashes. Armortec-800
Defensive features an aerodynamic cross-section that
minimizes air resistance for quick play. Its flexible
shaft makes for easy receives and drives.

friction. The construction creates total unity of the frame and

The tension of string seated on the sharp corners of
a traditional grommet hole system is progressively
diminished over time. In contrast, the Muscle Power
construction extends the string durability for
uniform, predictable, long-term performance.
In factory tests, the stringbed of the
Muscle Power Frame provided uniformlyhigh resiliency for power hits seven days
after stringing.

Designed for entry to intermediate players, the
Isometric VF frame pairs Aerodynamic Shape with the
sturdy YONEX Box Shape. Aerodynamic contouring of
the top of the frame minimizes air resistance so air
flows faster cross the curved surface during the
swing, accelerating head speed and transferring
more speed and power into hits. Midway the frame,

The YONEX Mega-Frame provides an extralarge sweetspot that stretches a player’s
reach. Through its unique design, the MegaFrame construction enlarges the already
large sweetspot that the YONEX Isometric
Square Head Shape is famous for outward in
the stringbed, creating a 34% larger sweetspot compared with a conventional racquet
for more effective off-centre hits.
