June 6 – October 12
Explore a unique exhibit from the Anne Frank House in
Amsterdam telling the story of Anne Frank, a Jewish girl who
went into hiding during WWII to escape the Nazis. This exhibit
prompts us to reflect on the role of politics in today’s society
and includes new content examining the role Canadian soldiers
played during WWII and in liberating Holland in 1945. The
exhibit coincides with the Stratford Festival’s The Diary of Anne
Frank at the Avon Theatre.
Book advance tickets at www.stratfordperthmuseum.ca .
Same day tickets for sale at the museum.
The Doors Open committee wishes to thank the property owners,
contributors, the volunteers, Allan O’Neill (photography), Stratford
Tourism Alliance, the City of Stratford, Stratford Perth Heritage
Foundation, MacLeod’s Scottish Shop, County of Perth, StratfordPerth Archives, Stratford-Perth County Branch - Architectural

Completed in 1913, this station was at the pinnacle of a
number of substantial and picturesque stations built by the
Grand Trunk Railway (GTR) in western Ontario between the
mid-1890s and the start of WWI. The station played key
roles in the movement of troops and supplies throughout
both world wars. In 1871 GTR built a locomotive repair shop
that drew many skilled workers to the city.
Not to be missed: Display by Stratford Perth Heritage
Foundation & 3rd Rail Society co-working space for solo
entrepreneurs (upper level).
