VIRTUAL CONSTRUCTION
Building Information Modeling
BIM Project Experience
Corbins Electric has an extensive Virtual Construction
(VC) Department available to assist in the construction
process. Our experience with Building Information Modeling
(BIM) began in 2005 with the construction of the Barrow
Neurological Institute (BNI) Tower at St. Joseph’s Hospital in
Phoenix. That’s when we created our VC Department and
began building a team of individuals with field experience
and trained in BIM. Since then, we have become your
electrical contracting leader in the utilization of multiple
platforms and uses for BIM.
• Phoenix Sky Train
• Phoenix Sky Harbor
International Airport
Terminal 3 Electrical
Upgrades
• Intel Fab 12 / 22 / 32
• Intel Fab 11 / 11X
• Tucson Air Traffic

Modeling ensures efficient installation
in the field without surprises
We currently use Revit for the majority of our work, which is
becoming the industry standard. We are also well versed
in AutoCAD MEP. Some benefits include in-house project
drawings, conflict resolution, 3D, 4D, 5D, and 6D integration.
Corbins’ VDC Department aids clients in resolving
constructability conflicts in design rather than on the job site.
BIM reduces interference in the field, allows us scheduling
in our build process, and determines prefabrication
opportunities. Ultimately, BIM will save you time, energy, and
money.
PREFABRICATION
Prefabrication speeds up
installation in the field
We carry more than 15 licenses for Navisworks and
AutoCAD MEP, and currently have 15 designers on staff.
Software that we utilize includes:
• Navisworks Manage 2013, 2014, 2015
BIM ensures specified materials
and equipment fill correctly
