system, hearing-aid users can

SUPERCHEAP AUTO NATIONAL AWARDS
The Super Cheap Auto National Awards were
held at Virginia Palms Hotel on the 20th
September to recognise the achievements of
outstanding team members throughout
Australasia.
For the presentation of the awards, two 50”
plasma panels and a 10 x 7 ft screen dressed
down to widescreen format were used. To achieve
a sophisticated and vibrant look, our team also
used eight moving lights, twenty LED Tubes and
a Perspex lectern. This was accompanied by the
use of matrix switchers enabling the flexible
placement of graphics onto any of our screens.
This corporate event was a perfect opportunity to
utilise our new NEXO Sound System for its
compact and unobtrusive functionality, and
impressive fullness and clarity.
For a personalised touch, our team filmed and
produced a package of 27 short videos of the
award finalists shown throughout the ceremony,
as well as winner and nominee animations. These
were produced by our in-house designer using
Apple G5 Edit Suite and then formatted into high
quality DVCAM and DVD for ease of use.
To conclude the award proceedings, two Air
Powered Streamer Canons were shot out above
the Final Winners, creating an exciting and
memorable finish to an equally memorable night.

Recently, RACQ held their 2009 Network Conference
at Novotel Twin Waters which included a gala dinner on
the final night of the three day event. The themed gala
event took place in the resort’s premier conference venue
- The Wandiny Room.
With light batterns under every table, glow table
centrepieces and glow columns, the room was
illuminated with an array of colours. The ‘Glow Theme’
is just one of the many theme packages available at Novotel Twin Waters Resort.

Avcom Staging for the SU Qld
Frontline Chaplaincy Appeal
Dinner held at the Brisbane
Convention and Exhibition
Centre on 19 October.
After consultation with our
client, our Spyder 344 system
was chosen to provide a three
projector blend, incorporating
picture-in-pictures (PiPs) and
dynamic visual effects. The
blend was projected onto a
massive 50 x 15 foot screen
creating an impressive
backdrop for the event.
Throughout the dinner, a full
screen animation was
projected onto the screen
through our high powered
graphics computer. The
Spyder also allowed our team
to program the entire show’s
projection onto the system
prior to the event including
high resolution photos,
ensuring the highest quality
vision was displayed.
Spyder can move your show in
directions never before
possible, with almost infinite
input/output configurations,
animations and manipulations
once only dreamt of.
