A Message from the Mariemont FAB Presidents
Dear FAB Affair Guests,
Welcome to the fifth annual Mariemont FAB Affair, Fire
& Ice! We hope you enjoy the many exciting elements of
the evening, including the outstanding venue, great food and
drink, the exciting auction and raffle items, and of course,
the outstanding company! We are grateful for your support
for making tonight another FABulous event benefiting the
Mariemont City School District!
The Mariemont FAB Affair (Foundation, Arts, &Boosters)
is a fundraising event to support the Mariemont Schools
through three volunteer organizations: The Mariemont
School Foundation, the Mariemont Arts Association, and the
Mariemont Athletic Boosters. These three groups have
teamed-up to raise much needed funds for our schools.
All proceeds from the FAB Affair support the efforts of our
organizations, which, in turn, ultimately provide support to
the district. The money raised helps to bring incremental
academic, athletic, and art programming and initiatives to
life for our district's students. Said another way, we help to
fund the gap between the district budget and what we all
value and want to see in our school district and
children. Join us in our efforts to achieve these goals tonight
and in the future!

Who are we?
• The Mariemont School Foundation is an independent non-profit
organization whose mission is to support the long-term success
of our students and community through initiatives that preserve,
enhance, and sustain educational excellence.
• The Mariemont Arts Association is a joint parent/faculty
organization that supports, promotes and advocates for the Arts
(visual, digital, music, theatre) in the Mariemont Junior High and
High Schools. We reinforce extracurricular arts programs as
well as those that are within the core curriculum of our schools.
• The Mariemont Athletic Boosters is a parent-led organization
that promotes and supports Junior High and High School
student athletes, with an emphasis on student and community
participation, sportsmanship, spirit, and funding.

Good evening and welcome to the FAB affair hosted by the Mariemont School
Foundation, the Arts Association, and the Athletic Boosters. On behalf of the
Board of Education and all staff of the Mariemont City Schools, I want to thank you
for attending this evening and supporting our students.
It is only through the generous support of individuals like you that we can make the
Mariemont Experience what it is in our schools – enriching opportunities, innovative
learning environments, special events, and state-of-the art technology and
resources for all our students.
Together, we will continue to do great things for our children and achieve our vision
to prepare the scholars of today and inspire the leaders of tomorrow. Please enjoy

A gorgeous original oil painting by our district’s very own Rick Koehler titled “Winter Farm” is an 11 x 14
(canvas only) Rick Koehler graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Architecture
and shortly thereafter he opened his own architectural firm, Architects Plus. Although relatively new
to the field of oil painting, his background has provided a solid foundation for understanding
perspective, the effects of light on a subject and values within a composition. Many of his scenes are
taken from Leelanau County in Michigan where he spends a great deal of his time. He is a Signature
member of the Cincinnati Art Club as well as the Ohio Plein Air Society.
