Lexington-Fayette Urban County now approves
the use of (HDPE) pipe for use in all storm drain
applications. In addition to already allowing all sizes
of HPDE pipe for private applications, the new
approval allows for:
• Up to 36-in. pipe for new development right of way
installations, and
• Up to 60-in. LFUCG capital improvement projects
and maintenance
• Outstanding Value
Installation is to follow the existing LFUCG standards
and pipe manufacturer’s recommendations. HDPE
pipe is to be manufactured to the latest standard,
ASTM F2306 and meeting NTPEP qualifications,
which N-12® and Sure-Lok® do.
