A YEAR OF CARDS: How would you like to have a night or day
out with the “girls” and learn techniques to make WOW cards
to send to everyone? Raelene wants you to have that “girl
time!” She will guide you while making cards every month,
throughout the year, for you to send to your friends & family.
You will use stamps, inks & mists, as well as the latest and
greatest products that arrive throughout the year to make two
each of four different cards, for a total of 8 cards! We will stay
ahead of the seasons, making cards each month for upcoming
events and holidays. Get on board and sign up for each month
so that you don’t miss out on the fun! $20.00

CARD CLUB: Join us each month and let Raelene teach you a
wonderful technique at each meeting. You’ll then go home

COPIC INTENSIVE CLASS SERIES: In this comprehensive two
part class series you will go from novice to expert on the use of
Copic Markers. Each student will be given a comprehensive
12 chapter manual with detailed chapters explaining all

for future use! Class fee cover both classes and manual (binder

COPICS-THE BASICS: In this class we will share with you our
experience and knowledge of Copic Markers. Why are they
different? How do you buy them? What colors should I
choose? We will work together to answer all your questions,
while we enjoy time together stamping and coloring. Together
we will cover all the basics, plus coloring techniques, caring
for your markers and tips and tricks tutorials. Discover the
world of Copic Markers while taking this class.

COPICS-THE NEXT LEVEL: Now that you have completed THE
BASICS Copic class, join us while we take your knowledge of
Copic Markers to the next level. We will learn to color skin
and hair, as well as jeans and clothing types. You will learn
about shadows and light source too. How to color
monochromatic, fur and shiny objects will be discussed. So
much information!! After this class, you will feel more
confident in the use of your markers. We hope that you will
continue to practice new color combinations and techniques to
advance your skills.

INKY FINGERS: Get your messy on with Erin as she teaches
you techniques and tricks having to do with ink and all things
messy. Erin will also show you how you can use fun products
on your layouts and beyond! Join her as you begin a new
exploration in the world of Inky Fingers! You will do all of
your lessons in your own Art Journal, so please bring one with
you! This journal will then be a wonderful reference of
materials and techniques for future fun! This class CHANGES
each time it is offered, so repeat students are welcome! See
below for each month’s class details. $20.00
P Monday, February 2nd at 10 AM and 6 PM - This month we
will explore techniques for tiling using modeling paste and
punches.
P Monday, March 2nd at 10 AM and 6 PM - Explore the art of
photo transferring with Matte Medium and acrylic paint! We
are also going to incorporate magazine pictures in our
journals by painting with acrylics and other mediums! Join
us for a fun filled class! No experience required!
OFF THE PAGE: In this class we will create an amazing project
that is NOT a scrapbook page or card, but that utilizes paper
crafting and stamping materials! See below for class details.
P Monday, February 9th at 10 AM and 6 PM $25.00-In
February join us for a one of a kind interactive album made
from a wooden spool! The perfect gift or display piece to
keep for yourself!
P Monday, March 30th at 10 AM and 6 PM $20.00-Join me
for a fun Off the Page class where we will alter a paint
brush! Using small pieces of designer paper, matte medium
and embellishments, create a decor piece that can be a
conversation starter or an inspiration jump starter for your
creativity!
T.A.G. CLASS: At T(trade)A(and)G(give) Class, you will learn a
new technique or about a new product and create a gorgeous
4x8 Tag. You can then add it to your scrapbook pages, give it as
a gift, keep it for reference, display it or trade with your
friends. Whatever you decide to do with the original, over the
next month we encourage you to (but, you are not required to)
make a TAG of your own design, using that featured product
or technique, and bring it back to class with you the next
month to show it to the rest of the students! We are sure you
will love this fun new class concept. When you come, bring
some heavy duty adhesive, foam dots and sticky dots to
complete your project.

kit, we will create a project that you can personalize with your
own message to someone you love. With 3D embellishments,
buttons & gems all in black, red and blue.... this project is

DISNEY STOP AND GO ALBUM:
Simple Stories has a
collections called Say Cheese that is perfect for scrapping those
Disney pictures. We combined this line with the We R's Albums
Made Easy system to make a great Stop and Go album class.
We will do most of the work for you. Just stop in, do some
stamping, punching or embossing then take the easy parts
home with you to finish in no time.
This format works
wonderfully to catch up quickly or to plan ahead for that
summer vacation. Album is not included. Hope to see you

Wednesday, February 25th at 6:00 PM
ELIZABETH CRAFTS ADVANCED: We are definitely going to
challenge you in this advanced class using ElizabethCrafts
products. We will be mixing colors, and using negative space.
We do require that you have taken the beginners class before
attending this class, but don’t worry...we offer beginners classes
throughout the year so you won’t miss out on this wonderful
product and fun class. $20.00
Thursday, February 26th at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM
PRIMA PANEL: We are so excited to bring this class to you! Its a
Prima mixed media canvas project. We will be using some of
the Finnabair collections of flowers, metallic trinkets, sprays ,
gesso and pastes. It will be done on a white canvas with
neutral flowers that you can spray any color combinations that
works for you. You will love the glass glitter, beads and mica
flakes that really make this project sparkle. Stop in to see the
sample...I must say it is so pretty. $30.00
Tuesday, March 3rd at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM
INTERACTIVE MIN ALBUM: Join Carol to make this charming,
lovely 4.5”x5.5” mini photo album that is completely
interactive! We will use the Bo Bunny Madeline collection to
create this wonderful album. The album has four main pages
and it includes an interactive element on every side! We will
create fold down flaps, waterfalls, pockets and more! You will
walk away with a gorgeous album and the knowledge base to
create more albums in the future! $40.00

We will cover the basics of preparation,
organization and storage. You will learn about
album types, tools and work spaces. This class
will cover how a scrapbooker takes, stores
and uses photos to create memorable pages.

use the essentials you will need to complete

Part 2: Design Theory
In this class we will cover designing with
color, structure, line and balance. We will
discuss the use of a color wheel and a few
basic rules of working with patterned paper.
We will also cover the principals of line,

This class will cover titles, journaling and all

and how to journal and brainstorm creative

that finishing touch on your pages.

When there is a scheduled class or
crop only registered participants are
allowed to be in the workshop area.
Please refrain from entering the area
until the class is completely over. It is
distracting to both the teacher and the
paid students to have other people in
the workshop area during classes.
This means you cannot crop, layout
photos or set up your gear during
class time. Please wait until after the
class has been dismissed to enter the
workshop area.

There is no such thing as a “guest” at a
crop or class who does not have to pay.

mass confusion and we would have too
many people in the crop area, making
it uncomfortable for everyone else that
is paying to be there.

Silhouette & Cameo Classes
Silhouette & Cameo Beginner Class: The Silhouette SD and
Cameo digital craft cutters are perfect for cutting shapes and
letters to use on your scrapbook pages, cards, and more! The
QuicKutz Silhouette SD machine requires a PC with Windows
2000 (or higher) OR a Mac. Via the internet you get instant
access to a huge digital design collection. The Silhouette SD and
Cameo machines allow you to cut any TrueType font on your
computer, create your own designs, and cut clip art already on
your computer. Plus, you can use a variety of mediums with
your Silhouette machine, including cardstock, patterned paper,
magnetic paper, vellum, vinyl, and more. At this class the
beginner will learn the basics of using the Silhouette SD or
Cameo machine. During the class we will use your Silhouette
machine to complete a two page spread. $20.00

Amy’s Favorite Things
The most anticipated event of the year is back and as fun as ever! On
Sunday, March 15th I will present and demonstrate to you my favorite
NEW finds from the HUGE January trade show. You will be given AT
LEAST 10 of these items (and I’m not talking about 10 sheets of paper
either!) at my Amy’s Favorite Things party. Plus, you will get to see
MANY MORE of my fun favorites and receive discounts on some of

Chantelle’s Chatter
It is with great sadness that I say “see ya
later" to the Scrapbook Super Station.
This has been my home away from home
for almost 16 years. I have made so many
treasured friendships here. I am moving
on to another job that I hope is as fun and
rewarding as this one has been. I will
keep in touch with the staff here and hope to see you
when I stop in for visits. I am hoping that I will be at
Amy's Favorite Things as always and I am excited about
the new departments being added in March! So, this is
not GOODBYE, its’ only SEE YA LATER.......

pretty certain you
have already met me.
You may know me as
Grammie or Marcia. I
have been at
Scrapbook Super Station for over 12
years. They are a wonderful family of
girls here who not only love what they
do but also enjoy getting to know all
our customers, see their projects, and
watch their talents grow. Over the
years I have been lucky enough to
teach all the basic classes, which gave
me the chance to help many of you
discover how fun and rewarding
scrapbooking can be. I have truly
enjoyed my years here and all the kind
and loving people I have been
privileged to meet.
Karen’s Korner
Hi everyone! I am Karen and I have been at the store since it
first opened almost 17 years ago! I currently work part time
and handle creating many of the page layouts for the DIY’s
and Double Features. I am married and have two wonderful
children – Ben (19) and Sara (17). Many of
you may know Sara, as she also works here at
the store. There truly is nothing more
important to me than my family and I feel
extremely grateful and blessed for the beautiful
extended family I have here at The Station.
Tammy’s Techniques
Happy New Year everyone! I'm so
excited about all the new things in my
life and in the store that I want to tell
you about it. I have a beautiful new
grandson named Fisher who is six
months old now, he is rolling and
babbling DaDa all the time. I'm also
waiting on my first granddaughter
due the end of March. After three
grandsons, I'm happy to scrapbook in
pinks! I'm also very excited about all
the new things I saw at the trade show
in January. I took pictures, kept notes
and asked lots of questions, so that I
will be able to keep you current on all
the new trends. I
know that you will
love some of the new
paper lines, gadgets,
tools and techniques
that have already
been arriving in our
store. I look forward
to seeing all of you
soon!

Hi Ladies, my name is
C o n n i e a n d I h ave
worked at The Station
for almost 4 years. I
retired from nursing
after 40 years at
Allegheny General and
quickly decided I needed a part time
FUN job! Over the years I have come to
know many of you, not just as
customers but as friends. For those of
you new to scrapbooking and card
making, I have to admit I am a
COPIER!!! Being in nursing so many
years, you become very regimented
with orders and protocols. Our talented
designers (Tammy, Karen and Raelene)
have worked very hard to help me see
things "OUTSDE THE BOX" but I am a
challenge!! Regardless, I love making
scrapbooks and cards for my family
and friends and they think I'm VERY
CREATIVE! Have a GREAT day and I
hope to see you soon.
I would like to introduce myself to all of you that I have not had the
pleasure of meeting, and tell you a little bit about myself. I wanted
my daughter to write this, and talk about me to you, and she
wouldn't, so here goes...I was asked once to describe myself in three
words. But, honestly I was able to do it with one word... blessed. I
love life! I truly love all that I have in my life! My greatest love is
my family... my husband is a kind, honest, hard working man that
shows his love to us everyday. The "us" is myself, and our two children. Our daughter
is in her second year of college, and our son will be graduating from high school this
year, and then will attend the same university as his sister. I’m so proud of them, and
love that they are truly best friends. I love simplicity... I love laughter... I love people...
I love all that sparkles!!! I love being with my friends... I love all types of racing...I
love photography and card making and scrapbooking. And…I love my job! Here at
the store, I have fun by teaching the card classes. "My girls" are awesome and I look
forward to the time we spend together. It is very rewarding to see the friendships that
have began and continue to grow here. Makes my heart happy! My philosophy... Life
is short. Take nothing for granted. Document your experiences and feelings. Be there
for others. Try to better yourself everyday...ENJOY LIFE!!! Every minute of it!!!!

Hello everyone! My
name is Kate. I am a
Junior at Slippery
Rock University
studying Early
Childhood Education.
My goal one day is to
teach Kindergarten or 1st Grade in
an Elementary School. Some of my
hobbies are knitting, baking, and
doing anything outdoors. I have
been working at The Station for a
little over 4 months and it has been
great so far. I have enjoyed getting
to know everyone that I have met
and I look forward to getting to
know everyone else soon! If you are

am the one who packs your boxes

Wow! I can’t believe it’s been 8 months
since I started working at the Scrapbook
Super Station. That time sure went fast.
This job is so rewarding. I love helping all
of our customers find just the right paper
or embellishment for your projects. I really
love teaching the Silhouette Cameo
Beginner, Intermediate and Project classes,
but the best thing about this job is you, the customers.
Everyone is so kind and I have enjoyed getting to know all of
you. It’s like belonging to a big happy family. I’m looking
forward to all the new things that are in store for The Station.
Sara’s Segment
Hello fellow scrapbookers! My name
is Sara and I have been working at
The Station for about 5 months now. I
am currently a senior at Butler Senior
High School and I am still searching
for the perfect college for next year. I
play clarinet in Butler's marching
band and I carry the American flag in
the color guard for parades, so look
for me at the last parade of the season
on Memorial Day! As for the
scrapbook side of things I have grown
up in the store with
my mom and I have
been surrounded by
creative spirit my
entire life. I can't
wait meet more and
more customers in
the months to come!
Carol’s Comments
My name is Carol. I have been married for 30 years to
my high school sweetheart and I have two children, Nick
and Mandy. I have been making cards and scrapbooks
for over 20 years. I have been published in a plethora of
magazines and I have won many contests for my work. I
am so very happy to be working at my
favorite place in the world! I will be
helping to design some of the exciting
new things we are introducing in
March and I will also be taking over
teaching Copic classes. So, come see
me soon and introduce yourself, I can’t
wait to meet you all!
Hello Helen!
I am Helen and I have been
asked to introduce myself
through this article. I have
been married to my best
friend for over 42 years and
together we have a son, and
a daughter -- Carrie (who
you will see scrapbooking with me more
times than not). We also have two
grandchildren who are the subject of most
of my photos these days! Carrie and I have
been scrapbooking since 2002 when she
was expecting our first grandchild. At the
Scrapbook Super Station I design and make
the kits for Kit Mania. Some ask how I
come up with so many designs; but I don't
even think about it. Scrapbooking is
therapeutic for me, and I really enjoy being
at the store with my second family and our
customers. My hope is that you will have
the same positive, therapeutic experience as
I do when you visit our store and continue
to create your albums and projects,
preserving your precious memories.
Emily’s Extras
Hi, my name is Emily. I am a senior at
Butler High School. I enjoy playing softball
in my free time as well as spending time
with family. This Fall I plan on attending
BC3 and exploring my options for my
future career. I have been employed at The
Station for a little over three months now. I
have really enjoyed this experience and
look forward to the upcoming months and
all of the exciting things that we have in store for you!
Everyone who works here is so fun and kind and all of you
customers have been so patient as I have learned the ropes.

StampA Stack Spring Edition

cards. You will be making four simple and easy cards...two of
