On Premise Installation An on-­‐premise installation is intended for use where the Immix servers and associated storage are under the direct control of the customer. Immix is recommended in those cases where there is strong local IT support, or a requirement to maintain control within the customer’s own network environment. Hosted Version The hosted version is well suited to those situations where there is limited on-­‐site IT expertise or hardware infrastructure. The system is delivered as an ‘out of the box’ secure service leaving the customer to concentrate on security operations. This option provides scalability, as the cloud service provides unlimited capability for expansion, whether it’s needed to accommodate growth in an existing system, tying other monitoring functions into that system, or bringing other remote facilities on-­‐line under one security umbrella. Immix has been designed to deliver peace of mind through a robust set of security disciplines ensuring business data remains confidential, and the operation secure. Application Security Immix CC has been developed using industry standard security protocols to ensure the integrity of the data and communication to the platform. Immix uses the following to secure the application: • All communication to the platform is encrypted using SSL 128bit encryption, to prevent snooping and man-­‐in-­‐the-­‐middle attacks. • All passwords are encrypted as a one-­‐way salted hash to protect sensitive customer data. • User passwords require defined length and complexity. • Timed lock-­‐out on repeated unsuccessful login and password reset attempts prevent automated brute force attacks.
