Escaped Cougar 'Tasha' Found In Knox

DANVILLE, Ohio ­­ The 10­year­old cougar that escaped its Knox County pen has been
returned, according to Knox County Sheriff David Barber.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS from the Knox County sheriff's office.
The 10­year­old cougar named "Tasha" was reported missing Friday night from its pen on
Kaylor Road, near Danville.
Neighbors spotted the cougar walking along Kaylor Road Friday around 11:30 p.m. and
notified the owner immediately.
Owner Lanny Parrish was able to return the cougar to its pen where the roof had been
repaired.
Parrish told NBC 4 he has owned the cougar since she was 6 weeks old.
He thinks storms earlier in the week created a hole in the roof of a shelter building that
allowed the cougar to escape.
"Tasha" has been relocated to an animal rescue facility outside of Knox County.
