Lexus IS F CCS-R to compete in Macau Grand Prix
Full Lexus F Series Lineup Showcase
Crown Motors Limited hosted the “Ignition of F” Party at the Lexus Wanchai Showroom on 29th October 2014,
attracted scores of media and guests.
During the “Ignition of F” Party, four Lexus high performance models
were showcased, including the LFA Supercar with strictly limited production run of only 500cars, the IS F CCS-R,
which will be competing in this year’s Macau Grand Prix, the RC F - the ultimate model in the RC series, and the
RC350 F SPORT.
Sponsored by Panasonic and other partners, Crown Motors Limited (HK) and Yat Fung
Motors Limited (Macau) proudly present the Lexus IS F CCS-R which will be competing the 61st Macau Grand
Prix - Macau Road Sport Challenge from 13th-16th November 2014.
Honorable representatives from Panasonic and other sponsors were invited to the party.
Mr. Patrick S. Lee,
Chief Executive Officer of Inchcape North Asia and China, kicked off the event by giving a welcome speech to
the honorable sponsors and guests. Then, Mr. Fumiaki Watanabe, General Manager of the Automotive
Department, Toyota Tsusho (H.K.) Corporation Limited, introduced the IS F CCS-R and Takumi Mr. Akira Iida.
Mr. Lee then invited Mr. Hitoshi Mutsuga, Managing Director of Toyota Tsusho (H.K.) Corp., Ltd and the
honorable sponsors to join him in a toast to the success of the IS F CCS-R in the upcoming race.
Rounding off
the event, Mr. Lee and Mr. Mutsuga unveiled the All New Lexus RC F and RC350 F SPORT, Lexus’ all new
coupe series, captivating all present with the RC series’ charm!
Origin of Lexus “F”
The Lexus “F” series refers to the F-shaped Fuji Speedway in Japan which is located near the base of Mount Fuji.
The speedway plays a crucial role in Lexus’ vehicle development, serving over the years as the cradle of Lexus’
high performance models. It is the primary testing site of classic models such as the IS F and LFA.

With the IS F and RC F, Lexus completed a perfect Lexus “F” pyramid together with LFA Supercar and other F
SPORT models. A timeless masterpiece, the Lexus team spent nearly a decade to develop the LFA Super, which
became the Pinnacle F model embodying ultimate driving performance.

The IS F, the first Lexus high performance model to bear the “F” marque, is symbolic of Lexus’ cutting-edge
technologies and endless passion.
Since its release in 2007, the IS F has been a source of pride for Lexus and
the basis for the ongoing development of Lexus’ high performance model. In 2011, Lexus developed the
CCS-R (Circuit Club Sport-Racer) which fuelled the passion of car enthusiasts with its great showings at various
competitions.
The IS F CCS-R is one of the most recognized Lexus racecars and has made its name at many prestigious races,
such as the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, Nasa 25 Hours of Thunderhill and Nurburgring 24-hour
Endurance Race.
The model was the winner of in 2013 Nurburgring Endurance Race SP8 Class.
In 2014, Lexus fitted the IS F CCS-R with the newly developed V8 engine, which was specially designed for the
all new RC F.
The IS F CCS-R combines seamless acceleration with outstanding control to ensure maximum
enjoyment for racers.
The new 5.0 litre V8 engine has a maximum output of 477 horsepower.
The
unparalleled power and extreme performance of the vehicle is apparent in its acceleration from 0-100 km is just
4.8 seconds.
With the carbon fiber parts and the powerful engine, they greatly improved the CCS-R’s
power-weight ratio.

With the latest V8 engine and sponsored by Panasonic and other partners, the IS F CCS-R will be driven by
Takumi Akira Iida, a veteran with 25 years of racing experience, at the Macau Road Sport Challenge in the
Macau Grand Prix held in November this year.
With 25 years of experience in the motor-sports activity, Iida-san made his debut on the racetrack in 1989, where
he secured a third place finish.
Since then, he has been active on the race circuit and with his first overseas
appearance in international competition at the Le Mans 24-hour Endurance Race in 1994.
Leveraging the
experience he gained from overseas, Iida-san achieved great results at domestic race competitions in Japan. He
was the Series Champions of the All Japan GT Championship – GT500class. Iida-san also took part in the
Macau Grand Prix in 2012, where he finished in fourth place.
RC F & RC350 F SPORT – Lexus’ all new coupe series
As the new core model in the Lexus F pyramid, the Lexus engineers developed the RC F with three major
concepts

The all-new RC F is the first front engine, rear-wheel-drive model that adopts the Torque Vectoring Differential
(TVD) system.
The system implements suitable control to rear wheel torque, helping to properly control the
vehicle’s orientation during cornering.
The TVD system features three mode options—Standard, Slalom and
Track. The Standard mode provides an ideal balance of agility and firmness, while the Slalom mode emphasizes
nimble steering response and agility.
The Track mode is specially designed for high speed driving on circuits,
ensuring outstanding stability whether on a straight track or in turns.
Like all “F“ models, the RC F has a driver‘s seat that provides optimal support so that the driver can fully enjoy the
extreme performance of the RC F.
To further enhance the driving experience, the RC F features a refined
version of the LFA dashboard, with information displayed changes according to the drive mode selected. The
Remote Touch Interface at the central console provides easy access to the information displayed on the 7-inch
high resolution display.
The RC350 F SPORT, on the other hand, features a unique F SPORT meter and a
Lexus Display Audio Controller that provides easy and practical control and clear display of information.
