f there’s someone in Bollywood who never hesitates in encouraging fresh talent, it has to be Salman Khan. The
superstar has mentored several youngsters in the past like Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Zareen Khan, Daisy
Shah and Pulkit Samrat. The latest one to join the bandwagon of his disciples is the popular VJ Siddharth
Bhardwaj. The superstar had struck a chord with the newbie, who’s all set to mark his debut in Balaji Telelms’ Kuku
Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi, during his stint on the reality show Bigg Boss. The two have kept in touch ever since. And
at a recently held movie screening, Sallu bhai bumped into Sid and left him in awe with his warmth. What’s more,
Mr. Khan even gave the young lad a pat on his back and told him how he’d never stop looking out for him as he’d
always be one of his boys. Needless to mention, Sid was truly touched with this sweet gesture of his favourite
movie icon. After all, any newcomer would be absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Salman camp!

t was a very poor weekend at
the box-ofce for Bollywood
with none of the new releases –
namely (), and '( managing to
make much of an impact. Of the
three, had the best start as it
fetched around six crores at the boxofce. Now this is much lower than
what Kangana Ranaut’s last release
(10 crores) had managed
just a few weeks back. wasn’t
panned by the critics or the audience
but then no one heaped praises on
it either. With a niche appeal to it
(the lm is in the space of "#$
%&the movie saw a wide
release but not the kind of footfalls
that were expected. The word of
mouth is okay and one waits to see
how the week goes. However, early
indications don’t promise a long haul.
As for , it is quite clear that
the lm is a disaster. The collections
were very poor from the opening
show itself and there was not much
escalation during the weekend
either, hence resulting in less than
three crores coming in. The ick has
got a thumbs down by most critics
while the audience footfall has
been abysmal enough to warrant
any positive word of mouth. This
is disheartening indeed for a
film coming from Subhash Ghai.
