us... for an evening of exceptional wines and a palate-pleasing menu as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary! Featured wines in-
clude our award-winning “Best of Class” wines Prairie Fumé and Prairie
Blush, our barrel-aged Foch single parcel estate-wine Domaine Reserve
2005 and Platinum-winning Dry Riesling, along with our 5-year barrel-aged
Tawny Port 2007. A champagne fountain will feature Mazzolino Sparkling
Wine, produced by Winemaker Philippe’s little brother, Jean-Francois in Italy.
The evening will begin with hors d’oeuvres under our
century old oak tree and in our underground aging cellars. Dinner takes place in our Sugarloaf Room where
Winemaker Philippe will highlight the wines and why
they were chosen to pair with each course. Dinner will be
prepared under the direction of Drew Roznowski, catering
guru of Kalahari Resorts. This outstanding menu compliments the flavors of these very special wines. Providing piano music is our good
friend Daniel Anderson, who we are very pleased to have join us again this year.

Aging Gracefully for 40 YEars: Caseclub
A
s we celebrate our 40th
Anniversary this year,
we’re taking a look back at
our Caseclub over the years.
Our Caseclub began in 1981
with a metal recipe card file
box in which
we
handwrote
the
date of each case purchase for each member. We
had Caseclub tastings in the far room of the wine
cellars with Bob and Philippe each taking turns
leading a small group through a tasting of all our
wines. Eventually we added a spring Caseclub
tasting which we held in our wine garden behind
the barn. As our membership grew, we changed
the tasting to a walking tour at your own pace. In
recent years, we’ve spread the tasting throughout
the winemaking areas to also let members see where and how
the wine is made.
Our first Caseclub dinner was held outside in our first Wine
Garden in 1992, in honor of our 20th Anniversary. Our limit was
68 places (because that’s the number of plates that the caterer
had!). Many of you may remember having to call in to make
reservations and the dinner would sell out in about an hour! We
eventually added a second night to the dinner to accommodate
more members. The dinners were held in multiple locations,
from the Wine Garden, to the front lawn, to the main floor of the
winery. One of the most memorable dinner years was the year
we put up a large tent in the
Wine Garden and we had a nice
rainstorm during the dinner.
Our heads were dry from the
tent, but our feet were wet as
the water ran down the hill past
us! After that we decided outside wasn’t an option and we
emptied the Sugarloaf Room
out to accommodate the dinner.
Our Caseclub membership has
grown tremendously over the
years and we have members in
49 states and several countries.
Thank you for sticking with us
all these years and hope to have
your support for many more!
