About us
From the first decades of last century, the winery has
benefited from a remarkable “terroir”, perfect for
growing high-quality vines of which we produce the best
premium wines.
After settling in Chile during the first years of the 20th
century, the Rabat family – a wine-loving family from
Spain – decided to carry on their tradition of
winemaking in their new country.
They bought their first land in the outskirts of Santiago
where in 1927 they founded “Viña Casal de Gorchs”.
Leadership & Production
Currently, the winery has its vineyards in the valleys of
Colchagua and Maipo.
Combining more than 80 years of experience with high
tech processes, “Viña Casal de Gorchs” has been
leading the Chilean wine industry for decades. Today,
most of the winery’s production is exported, being the
leader of sparkling wines exported from Chile.
Over the years, we have continuously strived to
integrate quality across all levels, our production, our
supplies and our team.
Today, our production capacity reaches over 2.5 Million
Liters.

Our portfolio:
Sparkling wines
As from 2008, VCG started focusing on the innovative
& unique sparkling wine Fresita, a unique and
sophisticated premium sparkling wine blended with
natural strawberries.
Fresita is produced in the charmat method, a wine
making process in which the second fermentation
takes place in pressurized stainless steel tanks, and
the final wine is blended in the bottle with natural
strawberry.
It is available in three formats:
750ml, 375ml, and 200ml.
Brand Strategy
The sparkling wine market has been evolving. We aim for
innovation and differentiation.
Fresita stands for quality, enjoyment, and natural qualities
of Chilean sparkling wine.
All visual communication conveys relaxation, joy,
togetherness, and moments-sharing among female
consumers and friends of age 25-35. Fresita is to be
consumed and enjoyed throughout all day.
Target consumer: independent women age 25-40 of good
social status who enjoy quality and healthy lifestyle, follow
latest fashion trends, associate themselves with middle to
high-end products and social events.

We have successfully positioned Fresita as the
leading brand in sparkling wines in various countries.
With distribution in supermarkets, wine shops, and
restaurants, our importers have built marketing

displays, exhibition in trade fairs, and events with
social media platforms.

UK, Canada, Finland, Russia, Japan, China, Australia, and many others.
It is the leader of the sparkling category in several of these markets.
