Singapore Entertainment Awards (Jan – Apr)

Organised by Lianhe Wanbao, UW (UWeekly), Radio 100.3 and omy.sg, this
annual awards honour the best talents in
the Singapore and the Asia entertainment
scene. In conjunction with the awards, a
mega entertainment party was held at the
Marina Bay Floating Platform Grandstand
with performances from famous regional
artistes like Show Luo, Cheer Chen and JJ
Lin in 2009; SHINee, Eason Chan and Mark
Zhao in 2010. Over 10,000 people
attended the event in both 2009 and
2010.

First launched in 2008, the prestigious
Singapore Blog Awards is an annual award
organised by omy.sg to give recognition to
outstanding blogs, both in Singapore and from
other countries. The award accepts bilingual
entries in English and Mandarin and is the first
of its kind in the region to reward independent
web content producers. The trophy for the
award is designed by famous artist, Mr Tan
Swie Hian. Sponsorship is now open for

2010 World Cup by tracking Radio 100.3 deejay, Lin
Lingzhi as she embarks on her journey to South Africa
to experience the event LIVE. The website features
many social elements like Facebook, Twitter and
Foursquare for readers to interact with Lingzhi,
presenting a different news reporting experience.

This website was specially created to host the crossmedia coverage of the Beijing Olympics in 2008,

My Hong Kong Travel Blog with the Hong Kong Tourism Board

(HKTB) sent ten bloggers on a 4D3N trip to Hong Kong to
experience the Dragon Boat Carnival and other fun
activities in Hong Kong, as a viral marketing campaign to
promote Hong Kong tourism. The ten bloggers are selected
from over 1000 bloggers who registered for the Singapore
Blog Awards (http://sgblogawards.omy.sg) in 2010.
The bloggers shared videos, photos and their itineraries
online via a specially created omy.sg blog from July till end
August 2010 – http://blog.omy.sg/hongkong. Readers also
get to vote for their favourite bloggers’ itinerary

a trip to Hong Kong for themselves.
