Cocheco Valley Humane
Society is a non-profit
animal shelter dedicated
to serving the animal
welfare needs of
Strafford County and
parts of Southern, ME.
Established in 1984,
CVHS currently cares for
more than 1,500 animals
each year. In addition to providing food and
shelter, all animals are either spayed or neutered
and brought up-to-date on their vaccines prior to
adoption.
The shelter does not receive any state or federal
funding. Instead, we rely on fundraising events
and the generosity of our community to help
us keep the shelter running. The shelter utilizes
a volunteer program to help provide daily care
for the animals, including walking, feeding, and
socializing.
The shelter also
offers community
programs such as
low cost spay/
neuter clinics, a pet
food pantry, and
low cost rabies and
microchip clinics.

Silent Auction

on the catwalk with CVHS

Taking place on Thursday, November 12th from
5pm to 8pm at the Cochecho Country Club in
Dover, NH, Unleashed will feature a fashion
show and silent auction to benefit the animals
at Cocheco Valley Humane Society. In addition
to fashions for the winter and spring season, a
bridal collection will also be on display. The
evening will also feature heavy hors d’oeuvres
and entertainment from Eric Pomerleau (DJ
Downstairs).
Tickets are $20 each in advance and $25 at the
door. Tickets are available on the shelter’s website
at www.cvhsonline.org.

non-profit organization that receives no state or
