ie sieht wohl das Paradies aus? In meinen Träumen ist es immer eine kleine Insel irgendwo
im blauen Ozean, die nur für mich und meinen Liebsten reserviert ist. Ungestörte Privatheit, endlos Zeit und Raum um mit der Seele zu baumeln, keine Hektik, puderweiße Strände, feine Kulinarik und
wie schön, wenn es auch noch ein bisschen Wellness
zum Auftanken und schnelleren Abschalten gibt. Kein

Jing“, das direkt über dem Indischen Ozean erbaut ist

The Maldives’ most beautiful diving sites are located in the Northern Ari Atoll,
which the tiny 500 x 230 mile Halaveli Island happens to belong to. Once the new Halaveli Resort of the Mauritius-based luxury Constance Hotel Group opens its doors
to the public on the 15th June 2009, this diving paradise will be part of the most exquisite hideaways for discerning gourmet and wellness fans.
W
hat would paradise look like? In my dreams it always happens to be a small island somewhere in
the blue ocean that has been reserved exclusively for
me and my loved one. Undisturbed privacy, endless
time and space to take a break from everyday life,
away from the mad rush, pristine white beaches, delicious food, and how perfect if added to the equation; a touch of wellness to allow you to reenergise
and get away from it all much faster. That is absolutely no problem, is what the bosses of the new Constance Halaveli Resort thought to themselves; they
went ahead and created this heavenly paradise on
earth while catering to every possible wish.
An elegant luxurious establishment with 86 villas is
being developed on the tiny private island belonging
to the Northern Ari Atoll, which can be reached by air
from the airport in Male in 20 minutes or in 90 minutes by boat. The new resort has been decorated
by interior designer Martin Branner. Every villa comes
with its own pool, high quality entertainment system
and an Apple Mac Mini with iPod connection. Fifty
seven Water Villas have been built on stilts above the
crystal clear water of the Indian Ocean. Each comprising an area of 100 square metres makes provision
for a bedroom/living room space, bathroom and a huge sun deck. Twenty single-story 350 square metre
Beach Villas are located on the beach; with eight 410
square metre double-story Beach Villas close by. The
Beach Villas all have generous private gardens with
an exclusive open air bathroom featuring a waterfall
shower. The hotel’s highlight is the Presidential Villa,
which promises the senses paradisiacal peace, privacy to the utmost and sheer luxury.
This exclusive five-star hotel of the Constance Hotels Experience showcases the only floating restaurant on the archipelago and it promises to take you
on a culinary journey around the world. In tune with
the hotel’s culinary spirit, here aromas from Asia, Africa and Europe merge to become the delectable creations of the fusion cuisine it offers its guests. When
it comes to fine dining, guests of the Constance Halaveli Resort are treated to three restaurants: There
is “The Jahaz”, the main restaurant on the island;
“The Meeru” beach grill; and “The Jing”, a speciality restaurant above the water. The main restaurant
can seat 128 people. It has a big bar and meals are
served buffet-style. “The Meeru” tends to have a more private ambiance since the romantic restaurant specialising in seafood can only seat 20 people. In “The
Jing” restaurant built above the Indian Ocean with
seating for 72 people you will enjoy light fusion cuisine and magnificent views of the turquoise waters
of the sea.
With an atmosphere like this, it is quite easy to put
the humdrum of everyday life out of one’s mind. The
sensation of inner peace and harmony is further boos-
ted by a visit to the spa and here, what the resort has
to offer can be described in nothing less than superlatives: The exclusive “Le Spa de Constance” offers
refreshing treatments derived from healing natural
essences from the region itself – Ylang-Ylang, vanilla and coconut. The focus of the in-house spa brand
is wellbeing with a holistic approach. Guests can have individual training programmes designed for them
and to optimise the benefits thereof, the programmes are complemented by the appropriate spa meals. “Le Spa de Constance” has at its disposal six single and four double spa cabins, separate Ayurveda
rooms, a Jacuzzi, an idyllic pool, and a hair salon complete the offer.
Diving and water sports are the resort’s main attraction – Halaveli lies close to one of three of the Maldives’ best diving hot spots. Aside from that, back on
terra firma there are tennis courts and two hotel boutiques – a jeweller and a shop selling the Constance
