Winter Holiday Schedule
THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR’S DAY COLLECTION UPDATES
MarBorg Industries will be closed on Thanksgiving, so if you are a Thursday or Friday
customer, your recycling, greenwaste, and trash will be collected on the day following your
regular service day.
The Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays are on Saturday this year, so your collection
service will remain the same throughout the December holiday season. Customers who would
like to receive e-mail alerts can call 963-1852 and request that their e-mail address be added
to their account information.
‘Tis the Season to Recycle!
FREE CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING
We will be collecting Christmas trees free of charge after the holidays.
To have your tree recycled please bring it to the curbside on your greenwaste
collection day. If you do not have green waste service, bring your tree to
the curbside on your trash collection day.
PLEASE REMOVE ALL TREE STANDS, LIGHTS AND ORNAMENTS,
AND CUT ANY TREES THAT ARE OVER 6 FEET IN LENGTH
SO THEY WILL FIT IN OUR TRUCKS .
HOLIDAY GRATUITIES
We realize some customers give gratuities to their collectors during
the holidays. However, we request that you do not give alcohol as a
gift because carrying alcohol in a commercial truck could cost the
driver his commercial driver’s license and his job.
EXTRA TRASH & GREEN WASTE TAGS
When holiday clean up is over and you find yourself with
extra trash or green waste MarBorg will provide you with
extra trash and green waste tags. Simply attach the tags
to your extra bags or cans and MarBorg will be sure to
collect your extra containers.

MarBorg Industries’ New
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)
Vehicle Fueling Facility
MarBorg Industries opened a new Compressed
Natural Gas (CNG) fueling station for its collection
vehicle fleet. We are excited to now be fueling our
collection vehicles with clean compressed natural gas
(CNG), at a new state-of-the-art facility in downtown
Santa Barbara.
Collection vehicles are parked at the end of the day
and connected to individual fueling stations, where
they are fueled overnight and ready for a full day of
service the following day.

CNG Facility Ribbon cutting ceremony. MarBorg
Industries celebrated the launch of the new CNG facility
with a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 13 that
included numerous local officials, partners and community
leaders from the greater Santa Barbara County region.
