Dear Friend,
We Started the Avalon Coffee Company in the summer of 1994,
our business philosophy has been simple, “ Do everything possible to provide the absolute highest quality products.
The Coffees…
Imported from all over the world, we then “Micro Roast” all our
coffees in small batches. Small batch roasting ensures an even
roast and allows us to quench the roasted beans with cool air.
Large commercial roasters use water to quench the roast causing
substantial flavor and aroma loss. That’s why you can smell our
stores up the street! We then use over 30% more fresh ground
coffee than most retailers in each pot we brew, our equipment is
calibrated and our water is filtered. Our espresso based specialty drinks are expertly prepared to order and we use fresh
steamed Skim milk in our Lattes and Cappuccinos.
The Food…
We make our Bagels the traditional way, fresh rolled, kettle boiled
and stone baked fresh every day. Our salads are made fresh
daily. Chicken Waldorf and Albacore Tuna are Islander favorites.
Of course we use only Hellmann’s’ Mayo. Every morning we bake
magnificent muffins, creative cookies, crunchy croissants and our
“ Beach Buns” which feature our special icing. “The Shore Famous Turkey Sandwich” features our herb crusted natural skinless turkey breast, slow roasted and hand carved served with
our signature Champagne Honey mustard or Horseradish cream
sauce. All our great sandwiches are available on our Bagels, wraps.
Croissants, Baguettes or our very own “Plank Bread”, Its flat and
crusty….
We’ll continue to keep the food interesting and the coffees fresh
and we promise to matain our passion for quality in all we do.
