iLearn Math: Student Edition
Home Page
The Home Page is the first page of the Student Edition. To begin the course, or to continue working from
where you last logged off, click the Start button in the lower right corner
.
Home Page Features
Table of Contents: links to the course outline, and it opens in a separate window as a PDF.
Keypad Location: choose what side the calculator and keypad is on when using iLearn Math.
Reports: directs you to www.ilearn.com/reports to view a summary of your iLearn Math progress. Enter
your username and password when prompted to view the report.
Normal Mode: is automatically active, which means the order of lesson is controlled and selected for you.
Review Mode: allows you to review completed or exempted elements of the course in any order. You can
only view elements of the program you have already completed or exempted in Normal Mode.
Start Button: initiates the program.
Test Review: stores all completed tests with scores, passing criterion, and completion date. Each line
represents a test.
Program Interface
Control buttons (active in Lesson Instruction):

Location Information: Unit, Chapter, and Lesson are located below the user’s name. The title and
section is displayed above and to the right of the control buttons.
Exit: to exit the program click on the “x” in the top, right hand corner.
Time: each section of the program has a time limit.
Question Status Bar: shows the required number of answers to complete the section. In Lessons,
each bar is highlighted green for a correct answer. In Tests, each bar turns blue when an answer is
entered.
Points: each correct answer earns one point.
Answer Key Pad: use the key pad on screen or your keyboard to enter answers.
Calculator: made available only for specific lessons.

A green background is used for tests.
Review Mode
Review Mode allows you to review completed or exempted elements of the course in any order. In Normal
Mode, the course is automatically presented and you are not allowed to select lessons. Consequently, when
you view elements in Review Mode please be aware Lesson Instruction viewed out of order may be difficult to
understand. The orange background indicates Review Mode is active.
Select a Location



Use the drop down boxes to select the Unit, Chapter, Lesson, and Part. Reminder: The Table of
Contents outlines each Unit, Chapter and Lesson.
Click the Start button.
Note: all drop down menus must have a selection to access the material; you must select the Unit,
Chapter, Lesson, and Part before given the ability to click the Start button.

To move forward through any part of the Lesson, click in the blue area when the cursor changes to a pointing
finger or steps, or use the navigation buttons at the top of the screen. The navigation buttons , from left to
right, are repeat page, repeat step, previous page, and next page.
After selecting a lesson or test you can return to the Review Mode Home Page at any time by clicking the
iLearn logo
in the upper left corner of the screen.
Test Review
The Test Review stores all completed tests with scores, passing criterion, and completion date.
Selecting Tests


Each line represents a test.
Clicking on a line will open a record of your test answers for that test.
Viewing Test Answers
The top bar displays the test location.
Click navigation buttons to move forward to the next question or backwards to the previous question.
Your answer is displayed with the correct answer if your answer was incorrect.
After viewing a test you can return to the Home Page at any time by clicking the iLearn logo in the
upper left corner of the screen.
Individual Progress Data
A summary of your iLearn Math progress is available by clicking the Reports button, or at
www.ilearn.com/reports. Access the LMS reports by entering in your username and password.
Click “View All” to expand your report.
For help understanding the data presented, click on the
in the upper right.
Your Gaps Chart is displayed at the bottom of the report.
o green - chapters exempted in the placement process
o white – chapters and units exempted by scoring 90% or greater on Challenge Test
o orange – chapters completed
