Integrity – Uncompromised honesty,

Gaymar Industries, Inc. was founded in 1956. Initially, Gaymar’s product offerings were intended for the
consumer marketplace but quickly transitioned into the medical market in 1958 with the introduction of
oxygen tents. In 1960, Gaymar introduced our first product for the prevention and treatment of pressure
ulcers, a patented design for an alternating pressure pad and pump. In 1963, Gaymar entered the field of
physiological temperature management with special products for localized heat therapy as well as hyper/
hypothermia systems for the systemic control of body temperature. These systems lent themselves to various
care settings such as the operating room, recovery room, ICU, critical care area, and the patient’s room.
The development of innovative new products has been a part of our culture since inception and continues
to be a core element of Gaymar’s strategy. Over the years, we continued our tradition of product and service
innovation. In 1983, Gaymar introduced the Sof•Care® brand of pressure ulcer products that revolutionized
pressure ulcer patient care. The Sof•Care name remains the industry standard for cost effective management
of pressure ulcers. The 1999 introduction of the ISOFLEX® technology gave caregivers a unique, patented
gel offering revolutionary redistribution in pressure and shear in a nonpowered mattress. Gaymar’s
temperature management business continued to thrive with the addition of convective warming, blood
and fluid warming devices, and conductive blankets that wrap around the patient to provide more effective
temperature management.
Gaymar acquired Plexus® Medical, an innovative designer, manufacturer, and marketer of specialty medical
mattress products in 2001. In 2002, Gaymar acquired Waterloo Bedding Company Ltd., a Canadian
manufacturer of therapeutic foam mattresses and related products for the hospital, nursing home and
institutional markets since 1908. Our Waterloo Bedding operation is a state-of-the-art manufacturing
facility capable of designing and developing the Gaymar family of therapeutic mattresses.
Today, Gaymar’s name is synonymous with innovation and excellence. Having established a reputation for
quality, Gaymar is now a leader in the areas of temperature management and pressure ulcer management.
Our active participation in various scientific pressure ulcer management organizations allows us to
continually be on the cutting edge of customer needs.
Gaymar headquarters, located in Orchard Park, NY, has a proud tradition of over 50 years of success and
achievement in an intensely competitive marketplace. Our products include state-of-the art pressure ulcer
and temperature management solutions that provide patients with unmatched efficacy, comfort, and safety.
Along with our product brand recognition, Gaymar is also known for providing health education, clinical
studies, and clinical resources.
Our collective companies represent a sophisticated engineering, manufacturing, and marketing network of
international significance serving customers in the U.S. and in over 50 countries throughout the world. We
have a dedicated, passionate, and talented workforce that continues to work with our customers to develop
the products and services that are used to treat millions of patients each year. It gives us great pleasure to

Symmetric•Aire®
Designed with advanced air-cell technology, the Symmetric•Aire mattress is the first low-pressure, selfadjusting mattress with an internal air reservoir that does not rely on an external air source or electric pumps.
Nine air cells in four independent anatomical zones (head, torso, leg and heel) automatically respond to
pressure changes caused by patient weight and movement. This air exchange maintains the optimum
combination of support and pressure management. The heel section is tapered for additional protection for this
delicate area.
The optional fire barrier models (F) meet CAL29 and TB603 flammability standards.
