It is with great pleasure we serve as Co-Chairs of
the Plano Symphony Orchestra’s 2012 Valentine
Gala. We are honored to have Senator Florence
Shapiro as Honorary Chair this year. We are so
very proud of our Symphony. Its 29 year history
of artistic excellence has established a musical
tradition in Plano and Collin County that is
remarkable and second-to-none.
To make this happen, it means that every day,
dedicated staff, volunteers and professional
musicians are constantly rehearsing,
brainstorming, planning, and coordinating
efforts to engage our communities in the joy that is live symphonic music. This
effort extends to both young and old alike, and never stops.
We are always in awe of the many ways the Plano Symphony Orchestra elevates
the quality of life in our community through music. For example, did you know
that in addition to the regular concert season, our Symphony has an education and
concert program that serves more than 9,000 fourth graders annually? The Family
Symphony Sunday’s concert series always features one of the instrument families
and our Instrument Petting Zoo. Our Plano Symphony Orchestra also hosts the
Collin County Young Artist Competition to encourage young people to challenge
themselves artistically but also to inspire future concertgoers and arts lovers. And
you thought we just produced concerts!
Only 30% of the Symphony’s funding comes from ticket sales. Our Plano
Symphony depends on the generosity from sponsors for our Valentine Gala,
individual donors, business partners and the City of Plano to meet our operating
costs.
It’s easy to get involved with the Plano Symphony Orchestra. Join us in supporting
the Orchestra with a sponsorship for the 2012 Valentine Gala. Your generosity will
be life-touching. Patrons, especially children, will continue to be swept away and
inspired by the unique excitement of live music.

What a thrill it is to be in our 29th Season! You can be involved in our excitement too!
It takes a great team of staff, musicians and a brilliant conductor to make it all come together. It takes a concert
hall full of patrons, back stage managers and volunteers to help with operations.
Most of all it takes financial support to make our Symphony a success each season and to bring the unique experience
of live music performances to our community. We rely on the generosity of donors to help fund our operating costs.
The Valentine Gala is our “signature fundraising event.” It offers our guests and sponsors a delightful evening of
dinner, dancing, auctions and fun while raising valuable funding to support our Plano Symphony Orchestra and its
programs.
2012 Valentine gala sponsorship levels
Would you join in our excitement of our 29th season and become a sponsor for our 2012 Valentine Gala? Your

musical experiences to children and adults of all ages.
Please read over the benefits of sponsorship. It is easy to get involved and make a difference!
