Dear Professional Colleagues & families,
We are extremely delighted to announce the forthcoming Residential Regional Convention being organized by the
Northern India Regional Council of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India on 9th to 12th June 2016 at Toshali Resort
Shimla on the theme “CMAs- Enablers of Paradigm Shift in Business Strategies.”
We at NIRC of ICAI have been striving hard to create newer opportunities for our members, sustain the same and
grow as true professionals to attain our ultimate goal to be the best in the field of Management Accountancy and
help the economy of the country to grow and meet the challenges at global level.
NIRC has taken up the crusade on behalf of the Institute, of being the best, by organizing various events/activities as
summarized below:
• Training programs for the students & orientation program for newly qualified CMAs were started immediately
after assuming office by the new Council.
• Air-conditioned Library for the members was inaugurated in October 2014, at NIRC & Student's Library was
opened at Mandir Marg, Delhi.
• Have organised various events on “Role of CMAs in Make in India” with wide participation of Ministers, MPS,
Corporate followed by cultural.
• The Various Chapters of NIRC have also been actively conducting programs & activities from time to time, for the
growth of the profession.
• Our programs & events have been widely covered both by the Print as well as the electronic media.
• Have Raised the voice of profession at various fronts with filing of Representations.
• Wide Media Coverage all around.
• First Time CMA Premiere League Cricket Match with a sound vision to future.
• Placement of Trainees and CMAs at Corporate.
Eminent personalities and experts in the fields of Business & Management, from the Government, Profession,
Regulators and the Corporate world will be attending and addressing the Conference.
Participation in the event will also give the members a much needed break from the drudgery of daily life in the heart
of the nature and scenic beauty of Shimla hills.

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India was established by the Government of India as an autonomous
professional Institute in 1959 to provide training, education and research facilities in Cost and Management
Accounting.
The Institute is a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). The Confederation of Asian and
Pacific (CAPA) & The South Asian Federation of Accounts (SAFA).
The Institute has around 60000 members and over 500000 students on rolls. The members are placed at top
positions as MD, CMD, Director Finance in Government and non Government organisations and are also in private
practice. Members are expert in Direct/ Indirect taxation, Costing, Project Planning, Systems designing.....etc.
The Objectives of the Institute

To promote the knowledge of cost and Management Accountancy and to provide education facilities and
training to aspirants for building careers in Management Accounting.
To improve the decision making skills and administrative competence to make management accounting and
corporate management in general.
To create knowledge through research both applied and conceptual relevant to management and cost
accounting and its underlying disciplines so as to disseminate such knowledge through publications and training
programmes.
About Northern India Regional Council
The Northern India Regional Council is located at New Delhi has jurisdiction over 9 States and UTs the states of
National Capital Territory of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and
Jammu & Kashmir.

10.00 a.m. on 12th June, 2016.
Transportation facility is available for the delegates from the NIRC by volvo bus.
Travel delay due to some unavoidable conditions. may affect the programe schedule. NIRC shall not be
responsible for such delays & fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
