Now is the time of year when many of us promise to plan
better for the 2016 holiday season and prepare for increased
expenses. That makes this time of year the perfect time to
open a Christmas Club savings account which earns higher
dividends throughout the year than a regular savings account

HOLIDAY GIVING
Because of the generosity of its employees and
members, AACFCU was able to donate food, money
and Christmas gifts to local nonprofit organizations
in our surrounding communities during the 2015
holiday season. Each October, the Credit Union
holds a company-wide food drive to help local
food banks prepare for the holiday season. In the
following months, employees come together to
provide Christmas gifts to local children and
senior citizens.
Thank you for helping us give back to those in
need!
Board of Directors Candidate Named
In October, a call for candidates was issued by placing a notice to members in each of AACFCU’s 20 branch
locations. After consideration of candidates, the nominating committee recommended Larry Eagerton, who
is seeking another 3-year term.
Voting Procedures Announced
One 3-year term on the Board of Directors will be filled at the annual meeting of AACFCU
members scheduled for May 18, 2016, at the Operations Center in Daleville at 5:00 p.m.
A nominating committee selected a qualified candidate for the available position. However,
nominations for vacancies may also be made by petition signed by one percent of the members
with a maximum of 500 signatures from members at least 16 years of age. The secretary of the
board must receive the petitions no later than February 12, 2016.
Candidates by petition must also submit a brief resume of qualifications and a statement that they are
agreeable to nomination and will serve if elected. Pursuant to the bylaws, there will be no nominations from the
floor at the annual meeting.

AACFCU received the 2015 Outstanding Community Spirit award from
the Alabama Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). In 2015,
the Credit Union donated $23,596 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation after
a company-wide fundraising campaign in April and May. Credit Union
employees and members raised $16,096 in donations while AACFCU
donated an additional $7,500 to CFF. In addition to the fundraisers
coordinated by AACFCU employees, AACFCU is a sponsor of the CFF
Great Strides Walks in Dothan and Mobile each year.

We are excited to have a new branch in Opp, AL!
Our newly renovated building is at 301 West Cumming
Avenue and features two drive-thru lanes, an ATM on site
as well as a full service lobby. Janie Weeks, our branch
manager in Opp, brings years of financial experience
